Honestly, I thought for a bit that they were in the process of closing. But they seem to be bringing in new games, including an unassembled PIU with an Exceed marquee (which means it could be anything, since the NX has an OBG marquee.

Of course, that doesn't rule out them closing, since they could have made the decision after they got the machines. Or maybe Tilt didn't even make the decision.

The Exceed is now where the DDR X was. The marquee is still off and the monitor isn't working, but the game was running.

I want to see if I'm up to speed...

Tilt Studio now has two Pump machines?

One is the old NX that they've had for a while. (Is it working?)
One is an unknown mix and is not currently playable. (You said the monitor wasn't working, but could you hear it? I suppose you could identify the mix by the attract loop if you were a real Pump aficionado. :))

And then they have DDR SN2...but it's not working either?

Am I missing anything?

The NX is still working, but it's not really worth playing on anymore.

The new Pump seems to be an Exceed. It has Exceed stickers (the NX does as well but it has an OBG marquee) and I think I recognized the title screen music (I used to have the Xbox version). The marquee (it's in the corner by the Indy 500 machines) also says Exceed.

Yes, the SN2 is still broken. They might as well make an exception and just sell it now rather than near Christmas. It's just wasting space.

Besides the other machines that aren't really worth going for (aside from the Indy 500 simulators, which need work done on them anyway), that's it.

What's wrong with the NX? Are you saying it's not worth playing because it doesn't play well or because you don't like NX?

Those Indy 500 simulators "needing work" sounds...dangerous?

Their NX is an old SD cabinet, right? Or am I confusing it with the one that was (and maybe still is) at Greatimes in Beach Grove?

An SD would indeed probably be barely worth playing unless it's been impeccably maintained. This being Tilt, I somehow doubt that would be the case.

Yeah, it's an SD cabinet. The P2 side has pretty much always been bad while the P1 side has been pretty good until recently. The Exceed is also an SD cabinet.

And by "needing work" I mean that they're in need of cosmetic fixes. At least one stays stationary.

Nothing's changed, aside from the Exceed marquee being missing. Hope they didn't throw it away, they kinda need that for the machine to work...

What do you mean? It's just a sign, right?

I've seen a few PIU cabinets, especially DXes, sold without marquees and therefore without any speakers aside from the woofers. Pretty worthless at that point, for sure.

Only thing that's changed is that the Exceed has its marquee and a card reader installed now. The monitor isn't working. Nothing else changed.

Okay, went there on Thursday and the monitor was on. Went there today and it was off again.

It's all because someone ran to Best Buy put an Insignia TV in there instead of getting an actual monitor. If you want to play it and the monitor is off, just ask an employee to turn it on for you.

The Exceed is actually pretty nice. It's much more responsive than the NX, although I seem to get more greats. Volume also seems to be higher.

I know they mentioned having the DDR cabinet back up by now, but I take it that hasn't happened.

I visited Tilt over the weekend and Supernova2 was down but both Pumps were up and running. They had like three Marvel vs Capcom 2 cabinets but no 3rd Strike cabinets lololol what has the world come to?

I haven't seen any mention of the holiday sale anywhere. I'm going to try sending an e-mail about it. If I get no response, I'll probably go there to check today.

They really need to sell the SN2 at this point.
