But what fun it is
To pass butterfly and spin
On DDR Max

... I have no idea why I just wrote a haiku about that.

Console releases for the corresponding Japanese AC/CS pairs didn't usually come out until well after the AC mix came out. For the current Bemani games, the console releases tend to lag 1-3 versions behind the arcade release (IIDX is currently 3 behind, pop'n is 2 behind, GF/DM is 1 behind).

They're going to want to milk the arcade market for all it's worth, and most arcade ops don't like to buy something that has a console versison of it immediately available (this practically killed Soul Calibur 2 in many arcades), so don't expect even a prompt announcement of a CS release, certainly not until after cabs are at least shipping.
A normality test:

If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

From Bemanistyle.com, which in turn got this news from Orange Lounge Radio...

"DDR SUPERNOVA - The PS2 entry. Given the title, it could very well be an honest-to-goodness arcade port of the game. This is to be released September 13th, 2006."

Further elaboration:

DDR SUPERNOVA (PS2) 9/13/06

DDR UNIVERSE (XBox 360) 10/11/06

DDR ULTRAMIX 4 (XBox) 11/14/06

Past trends do not necessarily predict future developments. Early on, DDR arcade releases were coming out less than a year apart from each other. The slow down after 5th Mix likely led to rumors of that and every subsequent mix were supposed the last of the series. Extreme, of course, was the biggest victim of this given that three years lapsed between its release and the announcement (nevermind release) of SuperNOVA.

While your statements about other Bemani releases are accurate, they do not necessarily apply to DDR either. Again, early on in the series it was not uncommon for a Playstation release to correspond with the currently reigning mix a few months prior to the release of the next mix. See here for a list of release dates (if you trust the wiki).

So if you want to follow that trend (and want to start some nasty rumors) perhaps we'll see an arcade SuperNOVA 2 by Christmas? Heh heh.

(Disclaimer: I have no information to that effect nor do I actually believe that such a release will happen.)

Do they have adapters?

And about the thing from bemini, there is no way it could be "an honest to goodness port" is there? Except for the 360, maybe.

And just as a random thought, why is the ps2 version always the actual name and the xbox games, err, different?

Yeah Xbox is like, half the size of their house. It won't fit through the front door.

Is there any specific reason its "like half the size of their houses"?
