It's the only "ska" I like. Aquabats are alright too. But Streetlight really hit a good chord with me.
EDIT:
Everyone should listen to The Fall of Troy.
If you can imagine a little bit of Blood Brother's hecticness and screaming combined with Mars Volta, then you've got them. Not saying it's a copy band, I'm saying you can tell their influences.
Their guitarist can play like no other, he's awesome. And he's college age, too. Give him 10-12 years and he'll be the Clapton/Hendrix of metal/hxc.
Listen to their album, Ghostship Demos, if you don't believe me or even, What Sound Does A Mastadon Make?, off their latest album. The kid can wail.

Dude, I tend not to like rap and all, but Mars Ill has such a sweet old school sound, that I can't help but love them. And I'm a sucker for hott turntable action.

There's a new project comin out sometime in the near future called Head Wound City
It's got:
Jordan Blilie (Blood Bros)
Cody Votolato (Blood Bros)
Nick Zinner (YeahYeahYeah's)
Justin Pearson (Locust)
Gabe Serbian (Locust)
It sounds pretty intense, I'm not sure how all of them will sound together.

Supergroups generally don't last long. Generally when a bunch of already established musicians get together, things tend not to go well. Only time will tell though, I suppose.

It's not supposed to last long, it's just a side project.
All the mentioned bands are still together and kickin ass.

Random stuff I'm far too happy with presently:
(English Edition!)
Postal Service
Muse
Blood Brothers
Idiot Flesh
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
The Blow
The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
Tub Ring
Oingo Boingo
Faith No More (Bungle less so)
They Might Be Giants
...Half the stuff played on radio-kol, which I never remember to look into.
(Engrish Edition!)
Rip Slyme
SOUL'd OUT
Meister
Beat Crusaders
Bloodthirsty Butchers
ElleGarden
Straightener
Art-School
MUCC
Gazette
Rentrer en Soi
Ayabie
Nookicky
Bugy Craxone
Zazen Boys
I'm fairly eclectic, with heavy leanings towards rockish music. Recovering Jrock/VK nut; Rediscovering english music, as it apparently doesn't suck anymore.

As far as my preference of music goes . . . . I don't have one.
I was raised on a different array of musicical genres. ^_^ I love old 80s rock very, very much. I listen to a lot of country music when I'm mellow. I adore hard trance and techno. Classical or orchestra music is a delight! Hard rock or alternative is a personal favorite. I even enjoy ( guilty pleasure of mine ) some rap songs that are creative and more than just, "I got a whore and she sucks my cock and I'm a badass cause I have gold teeth and I'm going to undermine everyone who isn't a ganster". ^_^;; Sorry if that's offensive to any persons who enjoy that sort of thing. I just don't. Another genre I'm not to found of is punk simply for the reason that it all sorta blends together for me. This is a problem in a lot of alternative music as well. The songs are wonderful but there's not much seperating sounds.
As far as personal favorites - I really love listening to Mindless Self Indulgence, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, BoA, Disturbed, Savage Garden, and the song Menouthis ( I can't recall the band's name but they have a gorgeous selection of classical yet original music with a really catchy beat ). Yes, it's an odd mixture. ^_^;;;;

Correct: I gotz a whore who sucks my cock and I'm a crunkass cause I gotz bling in my mizzouth and I'm gonna diss everybody who aint a gangsta."
(they don't know what undermine means)
But I digress, I too like certain hiphop artists.
Dead Prez
Aesop Rock
Atmosphere
Tommy Tee
Del/Deltron3030
A Tribe Called Quest
The Roots(old stuff)
Beastie Boys(ha, yeah)

So, Human After All came out today.
Ehh.
It's ok, but it's really not the best Daft Punk ever. It's way to robotic for me. Or something like that.
Also, The Mars Volta makes me happy.
