See, I'm 19, so I'm legally allowed to get one. n_n But my parents'll kill me. No doubt. But one of my good friends is getting one on his birthday, or not long after, which is coming up pretty soon. And I've wanted to get one for a long time.

I don't want anything big or elaborate. I think I just want two small wings between my shoulderblades.

When it comes to my hair, I like it either dark brown or a dark red. I've always wanted to do it pink, or keep it brown but put pink highlights in it.

Your hair would look super cute blond with bright red tips. I have a character that I used in a section of fanfic that has hair like that. I think it'd be cute. n_n Go for it!

As for the piercings...get both. I need to pierce my ears more, but my parents are bitchy about that, too.

As far as a tattoo, I say get what you want, but just make sure you'll like it in 10+ years. Since ya know, its kind of on your body forever.

IMO the wings on the back has been over done, just like kanji, barcodes, tribals, and butterflies. Get something that has a personal signifance to you.

Im in the midst of designing a back piece for myself, and its taking sooo long because I want each aspect of the piece to be significant to me. I dont care wether other people think its cool or not.

Piercings are cake, just go to a qualified piercer...that doens't include Claire's *shudders* GUN PIERCINGS ARE HORRIBLE! I know my parents would freak if they knew about my piercings/tattoos/brand so I get it where they cant see them...

Cute idea with your hurr! Im thinking of putting bright blue, red, or purple streaks in my hair. Since my hair is so dark, the colors would really stand out....but I still have yet to gather up the nerve to color my hair....

It's a tip that I need to take into consideration myself before I get anything done, but a girl I talked to said that, if you want to get a tattoo, get a picture of it and makes copies upon copies of it and hang it everywhere. All over your room, in your bathroom, take them with you to work, in your car, etc., so that if you're tired of seeing it after two weeks, you'll know that that's not the right thing to put on your body.

The idea may be overdone Pheadra, but if the wings have personal significance to her, or she likes them, it's rather irrelevent what everyone else is doing. Besides, in that kind of position, it's not likely many people will be seeing it one a regular basis anyhow.
Of course, I still think tatoos and piercings are extremely unattractive, but I still havn't figured out why I think that way...it's confusing.

Heh, I wasn't refering to you specifically...just in general. I've seen plenty of girls who would otherwise be attractive to me, but they've got tatoos and all these piercings, and it's just...I dunno. There are very few exceptions to that....very few.

I love Myles's tattoo. ^_^- He has three dragon claws ripping through his left pectoral. <3 <3 <3 So sexy.

I am no where near brave enough to get anymore more piercings then my two ear ones and can't tolerate continous pain ( eee @ tattoo gun ) so no tattoos for me. Heh. If I did ever get a tattoo . . . dunno what it'd be.

I saw a guy with the DDR arrows around his wrist. That was pretty cool. O.o; Not for ten years later but cool for the moment.

Oh I know what you mean. Just because I think Chinese characters are over done, it didn't stop me from getting my chinese name...in chinese....

Tattoos really aren't that good of an idea unless you put a lot of thought into them. You are going to live with it for the rest of you life(unless you get some really expensive surgery that won't even get rid of the whole thing) and if you can't deal with your parents seeing it, how would you feel about your children seeing it(supposing you would have children of course)?

It's something I would let my parents see. I just think they'd freak out on the initial contact, that's all. LoL.

It could be worse. I could be tattooing a naked girl my arm or something. XD I wouldn't mind my kids seeing that I have a pair of small wings on my back.
