I'm really looking forward to creating a doctoring thread sort of like Riot's teaching thread.

Just watched the 100 Yen - The Japanese Arcade Experience.
i felt it was a pretty underwhelming documentary compared to the King of Kong. Kudos to them though for producing it on a $60000 budget.

Just beat The Last Of Us.... so good! One of the best presentations/atmospheres I've seen in a game. The voice acting and facial motions were top notch and the settings in the game were all gorgeous. The main character's movement being a little bit slow/clunky is the only complaint I have really. It's definitely one of those "interactive movie" type games at times, but it's still an amazing experience and narrative. At times I did think "the gameplay gets in the way of the characters/atmosphere" but the overall technical achievement outshines that gameplay issues for me PERSONALLY. 9.5/10
Also saw World War Z last night. This movie is hot caca. Play The Last Of Us instead.

9.5 out of 10? What other games would you say rank that high?

Hmm... Bioshock Infinite, all my old RPG favorites, etc. I dunno, maybe I'd give The Last of Us a 9, but I give it a really high score because it's such a strong presentation. I think the character relationship and narrative is one of the strongest I've seen in games and it does a lot to move the industry forward (or at least past the movie industry). Again, whether that's good for "videogames" is subjective, but I think it's a pretty amazing accomplishment.

If I could remove any one thing from the internet, it would be AMAs.
"I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness," she said in a Reddit AMA, "but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."
She's a tool.

I pronounce it game-faks even though I know the appropriate way is probably game-eff-ay-kews. It just doesn't roll of the tongue as easily as an abbreviation.
