The solution to your parental problem: Buy a sword, get a tattoo, and WEAR MORE BLACK.

(XD Okay, maybe not. =P)
Goth is not the answer.

This has been a public service annoucment from GAG (Goths are Gay)
OMG, I'm offended!!!1

Perhaps it's not the answer, but it works.
Believe me, people leave you alone if they think you're unstable enough to bring a gun to school...Even when anyone who knows me know's I'm a rather calm individual.
And that's just fine for me. I prefer not dealing with people...it's much easier.
Because that's makes you cool? Trust me, if being Goth was trendy, then everyone would totally shop at Hot Topic and call themselves loners and rebels. Oh shit...

For the record, I was never completely goth. It's like a part time thing. What you call 'goth,' real goths refer to as posers, or otherwise...
Besides, I dressed like that before it was 'cool.' I actually was a loner, and I didn't not hot topic clothes to prove it. I'd been that way as long as I can remember.
I just like wearing dark clothes...They don't have to have chains or spikes or anything crazy.

Or you simply go about gaining thier respect and trust, and not have a problem with them.

Haha, lame. I have their respect. I have their trust. I do nothing to show them that I'm a bad kid. But they still have a problem with me. So fuck them. Fuck them in the ear with a rusty spoon. =P

Some parents don't respect the fact that kids aren't always 'just like them.'
There's a difference between raising a good kid, and forcing a kid to be what you want them to be, or in a lot of cases, what you want to be.

Yeah, my mom always wished I would be a cheerleader like her, or at least get more involved in sports so that I could be higher up on the high school food chain.

That wouldn't work. I like to insult cheerleaders upon contact, and the only sport I played in high school was soccer. Why? It was a beautiful way to vent stress. Tell me that diving at a girl's shins as she's running toward you, wrapping your arms around them, and making her eat grass isn't increadibly soothing. n___n It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside just thinking about it.
