I think it's your pick this week. Isn't every song nerdy by default by virtue of being included in DDR in the first place?

Well, crud.
Zenius-I-Vanisher confirms. But apparently it got dropped in SuperNOVA2 (which is what I had been playing on). You can go ahead and play it and I'll toss Extreme or something back in my machine to get it. Actually, I might put 3rd in because I have a hankering for some k-pop.
You still need to pick a new song for this week.

If you happen to have a black dongle for SN1 (whatever region matches your kit), it's probably on the drive. Just plug the dongle in and boot. You should get SN1.

Interesting. I don't. But maybe I should look for one?
Is this if the machine was SN1 and was upgraded to SN2? Did they just write the new SN2 data to the drive leaving SN1 in tact and let the dongle determine which to boot?
Any ideas on where I might obtain a dongle?

That's how I'm told it works. If your hardware was running SN1, apparently the upgrade just lays down SN2 along side it on the drive, and the OS bootloader will determine which game to boot based on the presence of the dongle.
This is apparently not true for GF/DM, though. The install for GF/DM will re-use data from old versions, obliterating the installation as a bootable game. Apparently this was required to cram V2 and V3 onto a single install DVD. I guess the factory installation process for V2 and V3 was to first install the previous versions.

They are not keyed to a system, unlike used 573 security carts, so you'll just have to find one of the right region. They usually have the game ID written on them somewhere. SN1 would be FDH.

Damn, dood! You picked a hard song for this week. The old scale calls it an 8, but the new scale calls it an 11. It feels like a classic 9 to me. I played it 3 times and just wanted to quit because I was so winded. My "best" score of the set was 112 greats with 10 goods and 6 misses.
I guess the pattern isn't that hard, but it sure felt like a fast stamina buster to my 39 year old body. I'm not even going to bother doing the dance point math on that. I'll have to try it again later.
