You never confirmed that you got 4th Plus installed, so I just replayed some old songs tonight.

I was able to improve Colors to 11 greats, bringing it up to a 651.

I think I have Insertion generally figured out now. It will just take some more practice to get my great count lower. As it was, I was able to get down to 27 for an oni score of 605.

I'm getting closer, but you're still beating me on both of these songs.

Where are we at? We didn't do anything last week.

I proposed Bu Dam, but you hadn't gotten an applicable mix in yet. Should I pick something from Extreme for now?

I've been fucking up lately by going to bed super late everyday and spending my time at home playing Beet. I went to bed yesterday at like 9:00pm though and I am feeling pretty good today so I think I'm going to tuck into some DDR.

Is Extreme installed on your cabinet? If so then let's do something from Extreme for this particular week - I am pretty lazy and still need to burn a 4th+ disc.

I haven't switched out yet because I hadn't heard from you that you had. Extreme is still in my machine.

How about some 1998?

I know I say this all the time and don't follow through but I do legitimately plan on playing some DDR as soon as I get home today assuming nothing gets fucked up at work and I leave on time. I really need to get back into this game and get a score for 1998 under my belt.

Whoops. I actually did play this last week and completely forgot to post. I was able to get it down to 18 greats for an oni score of 620.

What were your impressions of the chart? How does it......... feel?

I have no idea how it goes and I am not interested in looking at a stepchart because I value my cohort's impressions more than what some chart can tell me.

I liked it ok. It seemed more difficult that I was expecting, but I think that spoke more to my (lack of) physical conditioning than the chart itself. Lots of moderate-tempo eighth note patters mixed with a few jumps and some freezes. The trickiest thing I found was a few instances where I felt like I needed to start on the opposite foot than I otherwise did naturally to prevent leaving me in an awkward position to hit the next step.

Would you say that the rhythm follows the singles chart fairly closely?

I don't know the single chart well enough to say. It didn't seem strange though, so unless this is one of those cases where the single and double chart are wildly different from each other, I would hazard a guess of "yes."

I see. I always like a good doubles chart that is rhythmically different than its singles counter-part
