All I did was ask people to vote who may not have otherwise even seen the poll at all. It's true that some of them hadn't been on the site in months or years. I don't think anyone actually registered just to vote, but that doesn't really make any difference. Plenty of campaigns are built around just getting people who may not otherwise vote to vote at all. And if you're the one that convinces them to vote, you hope they vote for you. Anyone else in the poll had the ability to do exactly the same thing.

A real dick move would be if I just rigged the vote--something I could do here but never have and never would. I don't win every year. In fact, there were times I asked people to vote and they outright told me they voted for someone else's design because they liked it better. So, Merk, please fuck right off.
