Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Just a buncha weebs
Ugh, if you could calculate my DP that would be great. I swear to God I sit down at my desk and immediately start getting bombarded with shit these days.

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
Your DP is IIDX in one hole.
A normality test:

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
Can we please please please play something other than Extreme? I am outrageously sick of it. Let me know if you need something to make that happen.
Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
I was waiting for a confirmation from you last week about putting in a new mix so I could pick an appropriate song.
Any updates?
Or should I just pick whatever I want since you're not going to play it anyway?
(I'm not actually mad, but you're making it easy for me to hassle you about it.)

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
Sorry, last week has been pretty hectic with the new job falling into my lap and the house hunting I've been doing.
Chad is painting his living room and shit so that may be a good opportunity to get behind my cabinet and put in a new mix.
What song would you like to play?

Load up 3rd Mix VK2 and let's play Bu Dam...because that chart is fun as shit!
Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
You didn't confirm, but I went ahead and loaded up 3rd Mix VK2 and played Bu Dam last night.
I ended up with 16 Greats for a DP of 558. I updated the OP with this score as well as calculated the DPs for the songs you played a couple weeks ago. So, our chart should be completely up-to-date as of now.
I have to admit that I've been playing Extreme for so long now that going back to 3rd Mix--particularly Ver.KOREA2--was quite an adjustment...
I definitely failed out on my first attempt at Bu Dam. VK2 is really unforgiving. I got off on one section, probably missed about 6 steps, the gate closed, and my game was over. Pretty harsh.
Some things you should probably know if you load up 3rd Mix to play this:
1) You will need to engage SSR to play the Maniac/Heavy chart for whatever songs we pick. From the title screen, hit <<<>>><> on the cabinet buttons. You can hit the start button to get to the title screen if it's in the attract loop or whatever.
2) You'll need to hold the two cabinet arrow buttons and then press start when you're starting a game in order to get the menu where you can select Double mode. If you only start one side, you'll get one song. If you start both sides, you'll get a normal 3 song game. However, any song you pick gets removed from the menu for the rest of the game. So if you're planning on whoring out the song of the week, you might want to just play a one-song game.
3) The title cards for the Korean songs in Ver.KOREA2 are actually in Korean. Bu Dam looks like this: Just hit the right arrow cabinet button 6 times to get to it (in SSR mode).
4) The grade screen doesn't stay up for very long. You might want to enter Event Mode if you want to take a picture or whatever.
5) I hope you like x1 Flat @ 30 fps.
There is a code for Vivid (but not Solo), but I don't remember it because I never really used it back in the day. There's nothing you can do about the x1 or the 30 fps though. It had been so long since I've played an older mix that it actually took more effort for me to adjust to this than I can ever remember in the past.
Anyway, have the funs. I hope you get to play some 3rd Mix and pick a new song for next week.

Vivid is <><<>><> on the stage (not cabinet buttons as for SSR).
There's of course no code for solo syle arrow colors. Did solo even exist when 3rd mix was made?
Also, if you're going to play 3rd VK2, I sure hope you're going to play Rose.

Of course! I also figure we might as well play all the Korean songs while we've got VK2 loaded.MonMotha wrote:Also, if you're going to play 3rd VK2, I sure hope you're going to play Rose.

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: RUV SONG
Ayyyyyyy!
Hello, I'll get 3rd mix installed next week. Sorry I was out all day yesterday playing racquetball and packing for my weekend getaway and shit.
Would you be offended if I played these songs on 4th Plus? I think all the Korean shit is on that mix as well.
