Freckles is honestly really, really hard for me. I get so God damn winded on it which is funny because the singles is infamously easy.
Like, it's relatively streamy and there's no goofy confusing transitions or patterns in it, it's just a lot of steps!

Just wait until you get to the Korean songs.

How's it coming, Merk?
I've just been dorking around and playing random stuff the last couple times I've played DDR since we don't have a new song. I'm fine with that, but if you're at all close to catching up, I'd love to get a new one on the books to give me something specific to do.

Haven't been able to play this week but I did get Love <3 Shine down last Thursday. I got:
32 greats, 4 misses
I've updated the OP!
What song do YOU want to play? I am going to assume you still have the Korean mix installed

It's
Hallyu, or Korean Wave.
I do still have 3rd Mix VK2 installed, but I'll happily install whatever. After playing all the exclusives, there's not a whole lot of any particular interest to me left. And there's no Maniac Double charts for the 2nd Mix songs. Did you want to move to 4th Mix Plus next? I can pick something out of there. Or you can...I picked the last 10 songs!

Haha! I had an extreme calculation error on my LOVE♥SHINE score. I should have had 690 but I had 628 instead (I forgot to add Great*1). So I'm really behind your score...but not *that* behind.
If you want another week to keep catching up, I would also be content to put Extreme back in and take another crack at some of the scores you're beating me on. Although I feel far from prime right now, so I doubt I'll have much success.

Merk is about to embark on a 5 day eat-stravaganza, so now is your chance to overcome him!

Well, I'd be battling his old scores, so I don't think the current eat-stravaganza will make any difference.

Alright, I'm going to play tonight assuming no disasters at work. I'll try to wrap some Extreme stuff up and then probably when I move my machine out I'll put it in a spot where I have better access to the back of the machine and I'll install 4th+ or 3rd mix Kv2 or something like that!

I finally started putting the basement back together last night. I hadn't put anything away that had come out to move all of Brandon's games. That's been almost a month ago already!
I also finally replaced the power outlet that had to be moved when I had a cold air return installed in my basement about 2 months ago. With that outlet gone, that circuit was broken and about 1/4 of the basement (including the bathroom) hasn't had power in all that time. Yay for no more peeing in the dark!
I turned on a few games to make some noise while I worked and then later to test the power I had restored. I played a few rounds here and there to take breaks or test things. Brandon also helped me adjust the bass pedal on DrumMania which has been randomly and intermittently machine gun firing lately. It seems to be better now.
I'm not sure if I'll be doing a normal play session this week. I still have a bunch more cleaning to do both down in the basement and the rest of the house. Hopefully you can knock out some more of your backlog and we can choose a new song for next week!

Well I'm a piece of shit and haven't been playing lately. But I'm going to get one last good play in this week before I have to take my machine apart and move it over to my house in Gayvon.

I figured things were busy with the impending move. I've been playing random stuff whenever I play so as not to add any more to your pile...at least for now.

Don't worry once I move to Avon I'll be playing a lot more because I'll be all depressed by myself and I'll need things to do to keep me active and to help me pretend that I'm not wasting my life. When my ladyfriend moves in she'll be making me play so I can shed some weight off my fat ass.

I had been playing random songs the past few weeks while we haven't picked any new songs. Tonight I decided to try and improve some old scores.
Fantasy (Lockout): no change. I couldn't do better than 12 greats and we are still tied.
Love <3 Shine: I think I improved by 1-2 DP? I'm still losing. That song is damn hard. I don't even pass it every time.
rain of sorrow: +17 DP! I felt pretty good about this one. But I'm not sure if I'm that much better now or was just playing like crap back then.

Man, Love <3 Shine is weird because like, on paper it's just simple eighth note streams and some jumps but when you actually play it it's really hard and tiring because you're jumping all over the God damn place. The singles chart is conceptually more or less the same but it's significantly easier because you're hardly moving around.
