As of late I've actually been playing Beatmania 6th Mix + Core Remix along with IIDX. The main goals I have on IIDX as of late is to get more 7K AAAs and start playing alot more anothers as I Aed Be Quiet Another (The first 11 that I've ever Aed!) and I wanna try to jump into more psycho songs like that.

Goal complete.
I haven't had much of a chance to play lately. But I was able to go through tonight and finish entering complete L7 (Normal) data on VJ Army. I now have a score logged for every song in all available CS games.
Several scores are logged fails, and many more are over a year old. But at least there is something there to compare against and plenty of opportunities for new challeneges.
And since my last post I logged AAAs #27-28. I haven't been taking much time trying to raise scores since I've been focused on simply filling in complete data. But now that that's done, I guess I can get back to looking at DJ Battles and raising old scores and borderline scores.

IIDX Challenge: Full Combo V L7 (one handed, of course) and beat my FC EX of 1058 (beating my high score of 1070 optional).

That's a good challenge for newer players.

At the request of MonMotha, I played a bunch of 14-key. I played all of the L14 songs in 10th Style level 4 and lower. I managed to pass them all. I haven't played 14-key in a month or so. I'm pleased that my 14-key seems to have improved even though I haven't been playing it. I haven't even been playing left-handed.
VJ Army has a few songs listed as level 4 that 10th Style seems to list as level 5. I agree with the game...they're harder and I couldn't pass them. They're starting to get to where they're having you form chords on both hands. That's where the weakness of my left hand starts to come through and impede my progress.

Double post, like whut!
I'm giddy with glee because I just noticed I "made the board." I'm ranked
#82 on the VJ Army Double DJ Point list. Top #100, babybee!
Of course I realize that it's very likely that I'm on the list simply because there are very few 14-key players. But hey, I'll take what I can get!

I finished out all the 1-4 level L14 songs on RED the other day. I've started in on 8th Style now.
By challenge of MonMotha, I made a foray into level 5 L14 songs by playing Murmur Twins L14.
1st try: Pass - B
2nd try: Pass - A
3rd try: Pass - A - passed MonMotha's score +21 EX
This morning I thought I'd take a crack at a level 6. V L14 seemed like a reasonably whorrific candidate.
1st try: Fail - C
2nd try: Fail - B
3rd try: Pass - B (-16 EX from previous attempt though)
Meanwhile, I've moved up to #61 in the VJ Army Double DJ Point Rankings. I feel like I'm making progress. I'm certainly having fun and enjoying the challenge of 14-key.
I thought all this amidextrous keying might have some applicability to KeyboardMania, so I got out my controller and played a few games. I was proven to be generally incorrect.
The mechanics are just different enough since you have to move around on the keyboard a lot more. I didn't feel like I was much better than the last time I had played (which admittedly was probably over a year ago).

Broke Top 50 on Double DJ Points ranking. Neat. 14-key is fun stuff! Arka, where are you? You started this.
Played a couple courses to find Dan Ranking. Passed 2nd Dan course on RED. Failed 3rd Dan attempt...left it at that. I have no idea what that really means, but I figured I'd fill in that part of my VJA profile. The songs in those courses are not songs I would normally play since I typically stick to L7 and they were all level 6 and up on 7-key.

ARGH why does BMUS not have Dan courses?

Because BMUS has Danny Boy courses!
Playing 14-key seems to have improved my two-handed 7-key technique. I've started going through and passing (or at least substantially raising) difficult songs that I had previously logged as fails. I'm generally still playing one-handed on songs 5* or less. I can play some 6* songs one-handed, but generally all 7* songs are two-hand affairs.
Meanwhile, I logged AAA #31 with Murmur Twins L7...that was still one-handed.

This morning's pre-work IIDX session (it helps me type better at work

):
AAA #32 - North L7 - also a PC!
The Safari (6th+) L7 - passed on easy bar with a B! I was able to get a 68% on normal bar. Still, I can remember a time not so long ago when I never thought I'd be able to pass that song.

Ho, you've gotten so much better as of late, I'm pretty pumped for you. I suspect you'll soon be AAAing those things you never thought you'd clear.

Thanks!
I've always appreciated that you have not only remained humble in spite of your tremendous skill at these games, but you still take time to encourage others as well.

Many props go out to you man. You have done a hell of a job lately in terms of overall improvement.
