Played all the things tonight...

I still had 4th Plus in, so I took another run at Ba Kkwo since you were beating me on it. I was able to improve my DP to 603, so I just squeaked by you.

After that, I put 5th Mix back in to pick up Right Now and Radical Faith. I had scores on both of those from when I was waiting for you last month, but I was able to beat both of them tonight.

I improved Right Now by shaving off 10 greats for a DP of 511.

It took a bazillion tries, but I was finally able to improve my Radical Faith score down to 35 greats for a DP of 757. I feel like if you can overcome the slow density of the pattern, you will be able to beat me on this one.

Why the fuck are you up at 1:37am making posts on IndyDDR? Don't you have to work in the morning?

A great deal of my DDR happens between 11pm and 1am. Sleep is overrated.

Hello?

Any (non-bowel related) movement? Will you pick a new song for this week? I will likely be playing tonight.

Hello!

Sorry, I will be playing tonight. I would have played yesterday but I had to make an emergency Kroger run after work and cook carne asadas for dinner. Tonight I am 100% confirmed for playing some 5th mix. Let's just..... move on and play Movin' On!

ohhhh babby movin' ooooooooooooon doot doot doot doot do-do-doot doot doot doot do-do-doot

Sounds good. I don't think think that one is too terribly difficult. My ankle has been kind of a pain (pun intended) for the past couple weeks. Nothing serious, just enough to be like "HAAAAY!" if I do a lot of jumping or quick pivots.

Played Movin' On last night: 25 greats; 539 DP. Pretty good chart!

Played a bunch on Tuesday and Wednesday and was able to eek out the following:

Right Now: 7 greats, FC
Movin' On: 16 greats, FC
Radical Faith: Jesus Christ like 100+ greats and some goods/boos/misses

Radical Faith is definitely hard and I have a lot of difficulty timing it even on singles. Does it feel off to you or does the perfect window feel tighter?

I've heard a number of people say that timing on 5th Mix is funky in general. I have historically not been the best judge of things like that, but I do feel like I have to adjust my play style a little bit for 5th Mix.

Radical Faith is definitely a weird one though regardless of whether the timing is early, late, or whatever. It's a very slow, dense chart that follows very syncopated melody line. I think it's pretty unusual in its design compared to most DDR songs in general, so I'm not too surprised you're struggling with it a bit. The only way I was able to get my great count down was just to keep playing it...A LOT.

I updated the OP.

Thanks for playing. This will give me some stuff to work on if I can drag myself away from Tomb Raider, Fallout, and Alien to play some tonight.

Oh yeah, I also put Omnimix in the ol' IIDX machine last night. That's not distracting at all! ;)

Hell yeah Omnimix is great! I love playing the old stuff on the new interface. Sudden+ on S.O.S.? Helllllll ye

Anyway, is there another song you want to throw in this week? I've been on a DDR kick lately and I want to keep it up.

Hmm. I'm torn between picking something cool from 5th Mix or just...something.

I'm going to go with the latter only because I came across something I'd like to get your opinion on while I was playing last night. Let's try Luv To Me (AMD Mix). It seemed like a good chart, but I kept finding myself "on the wrong foot." So I think it has some really unusual turns and stuff in it. It was pretty challenging and I great attacked the living bajeezus out it. I wouldn't mind trying it some more to see if I can figure out how to do it correctly.

I played Luv to Me. After several tries, I finally got the FC. But I was still pretty great heavy at 87. Maybe the timing is off or something? I don't know. I feel like I should be doing better at this.

Played yesterday for fun and had a pretty good time, played Luv To Me doubles as my last song of the day to see what the chart was like and I failed it since I was exhausted and ready to call it quits for the night. I'll see if I'm in the mood to play again tonight but I do have to make a Kroger run after work and then make dinner sooooooo that might take the wind out of my sails.

FC'd Dynamite Rave (long version) though with 91 greats which I guess is pretty cool. That would have been an accomplishment back in 2001.
