Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
100 hours and 47 minutes. My first legendary. It was a pair of these:

Meh, but damn it felt good to finally get something. Imagine walking along a beach with a metal detector for 100 hours and not hearing a single beep. Once you finally find an old hubcap, it might as well be Aztec gold.

God damn those pants are fucking awful. Legendaries are so bad in this game for how rare they are.

Yeah. There are a few really powerful ones, but even those aren't exactly flavorful.

That's just more of the usual.

Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
The only good legendaries are Stormshield, Andariel's Visage, Ourobouros, and Skull Grasp, and even still are of them are really dependent on good rolls for block % or high main stats. They're buffing legendaries a lot next patch though.
Justice Lantern and Helm of Command can be good though especially if combined with a high block Stormshield

Sheesh. I couldn't tell you what most of those do... This is Riot's summer of Diablo.
Kripp posted a video that I thought was worth a listen. It's just a rant, so you don't need to watch. He was the guy that beat Inferno on hardcore, so he's pretty invested in the game.

He talks about endgame and patching. Not great, but worth the listen. I'm still in the mid-endgame where I haven't yet beaten Diablo, but I admit I doubt there will be much keeping me going after that outside of maybe doing it again with a different character.

Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
I know all the items really well and know what sells/what's valuable to each class pretty well.
I'm kinda at the stage Kripp is talking about. I've done pretty much everything and I need PVP in an online game to stay interested. I understand the repair costs and gold sinks because honestly the botting/gold selling was inflating the market a lot and this has helped even though it's not fun to lose so much money. I saw your post about gems on the video, and that makes sense. I stack crit/crit damage% currently and my build was pretty nuts with it so I'm selling stuff before they nerf crit since that's what everyone moved to since they nerfed IAS lol.
edit: I don't know how I stand on what he was talking about with PVP and gear not mattering. That's Guild Wars 2's mantra, about how everyone is on a pretty even playing field and it's more about skill than gear. More casuals can play and compete which is all well and good, but at the same time, I LIKE spending a lot of time for good gear and having it pay off against other people. I wanted to obliterate people in D3 with crazy gear lol, but I get how it's not fun for other people. I dunno, I like being a powergamer I guess. And a lot of games are doing the "champion level" idea he's talking about, whether it's called that or not. Rift has it, SW:TOR has it, lot's of games have it, and it is nice. An additional experience to gain after level 60 to add a few little stat increases and bonus rewards to keep incentives to keep playing.

Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
I should hit 60 with my bard pretty soon, so save some of that sweet cash for me so I can gear up for Acts 1 and 2. It shouldn't take more than 500k or so. Honestly, I'm accepting that this game might just be one that gets shelved until the expansion comes out.
Edit: Do you know where you can find a table of maximum rolls for various abilities for items? Like, for example, max vit roll on a rare for shoulders. This has to be logged somewhere.

There might be maximums but you don't usually see them. For shoulders, usually anything above 160 is the goal. I'm really looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and was long before Diablo 3; it looks amazing and from everything I've heard it's taking all of "been there done that" from MMOs and revamping it and asking "is it fun?" about all aspects of the game. Plus no monthly fee! I hope it comes out soon... I pre-ordered and will play one of the stress tests in beta on Wednesday to get a taste of it.

The one you posted says boots cap at 200 dex and I had like 230 on my boots *shrug* I think the other one is more accurate

Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
Riot sells i62 ammy for a mil. I get 4 i63s (and lots of other 60-62) with all my MF gear and 5 stacks and get garbage that wouldn't sell for 20k. All I want to do is beat Inferno so I can quit this game forever.
Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???

Dunno mang! I just try to kill quick, salvage/vendor junk, AH or trade channel the stuff that might be valuable. Any unidentified level 63 thing will go for decent price (60-62 rings/ammys too), otherwise just high main stat with a bit of Vitality/crit/crit damage/all resist usually brings in a bit since I undercut people usually. I'm mainly just having fun blowing stuff up with DH for a little while with over 100k DPS, easy to clear stuff pretty quickly (aside from getting one shotted by champs if I mess up the invuln skill timing).

Re: ummmmm Diablo III anyone???
Hungering Arrow - Devouring Shot
Cluster Bombs - Loaded for Bear (aoe crits for 250kish)
Smoke Screen - Lingering Fog
Preparation - Backup Plan
Companion - Bat
Caltrops - Jagged Spike
Passives - Sharpshooter, Steady Aim, Archery
I use 2hd xbow and stack as much crit damage% as possible (have like 270% currently). Considering using Grenadier and Entangling Shot with the Hatred regen rune to focus more on spamming Cluster Bombs as it downs everything basically immediately. When Sharpshooter brings my crit to 100%, my DPS sits at around 102,000, otherwise I have 38% natural crit that fills up quickly with the passive.
