Re: Fluffy I'm calling you out: Pick the song Chad won't play!
My cat is still not dead.
I don't know what is notoriously anything since I have barely paid attention to DDR since Extreme.

Good to hear!
Welp, if you're in doubt it's a safe bet to pick an Extreme song. If you're wary on a Supernova song I'd recommend playing it first on your machine before suggesting it. A general rule of thumb is that if the song has a really unusual BPM (198, 213, 254, or whatever) then it's going to be an awful chart. Also, if the song is a crossover from GF/DM it's also going to be awful. There are always exceptions to the rules of course, Insertion has terrible BPM shifts but they are done tastefully well and the chart is probably in my top ten favorite charts.
If you really need to pick a Supernova song for some fucking reason then the licenses (songs in yellow text on the songwheel) are safe picks.

Also, my machine simply has no system unit in it at the moment. Brandon brought over X2 for the Baron event, but he has since reclaimed that system. I tried getting it running on one of mine last night, but it didn't work. I may try again tonight or I may just punt and reinstall SN2 (a royal pain to do) or the 573.

Re: Fluffy I'm calling you out: Pick the song Chad won't play!
Alright, here is a conundrum:
For whatever bizarre fucking reason, Chad can't play a dancing video game in his own house until Friday of this week. He has asked me if it's okay if he can play Jerk It Out on Friday and submit his score to this contest.
On one hand he is my bro and I let my friends get away with slighting me. But on the other hand he's had two weeks to play this song and he has a fucking DDR cabinet in his house that he walks by every day of the week. I don't want to be a dick about it but come the fuck on, we either adhere to the rules or we don't.
I don't want to get off-track and be stuck in Jerk It Out hell forever. I'd be willing to let him submit his score on Friday but he also has to play whatever song we're going to do this week. Does that sound fair? Opinions?
Speaking of which I'd like it if someone would pick a song for this week.

Bleh. I'm over this contest. This whole thing is just one big dumping ground for getting hard over Extreme and crying about SuperNova. If you don't like the game don't play it.
My interest in playing those crappy licensed 6s and 7s for PA ranks up there with my interest in World of Warcraft.

Alright Chad, would it make you feel better if you picked the song then? Are you genuinely giving up because I like Extreme more than Supernova or can you not be bothered to find time during the week to play DDR? I was really liking this contest!

Re: Fluffy I'm calling you out: Pick the song Chad won't play!
I was liking this contest, too. I may never put my DDR machine back together if we quit.

Sorry about your cat, Brian. When Sgt. Reginald "Peeps" Pepper von Fluffybottom dies I don't know how I am going to handle myself.
Chad don't give up, please. You're the only other player within my general skill range who has the means and the time to make this interesting.

Any song I pick won't be So Deep or Twilight Zone, and will likely result in complaining. Find a game you do like playing and we can compete at that.

I didn't know cracking wise about Supernova bothered you so much. I'll grin and bear it if it'll make you continue playing. Deal?

I'm not bothered in the sense that my poor heart couldn't bear to hear something bad spoken about SuperNova. It just gets old doing any activity where someone complains the whole time that it sucks. Yeah, I know I do this with fighting games regularly, but I probably shouldn't.Merk wrote:I didn't know cracking wise about Supernova bothered you so much. It's great that you're willing to do your best to stomach Supernova for my benefit, but this contest stopped being fun. Play whatever you want.
