but is it worth the buy? with the arcade mod of course.

I played on one today at the library without the arcade mod. (yeah, my library has two cobalt fluxes they use on thursday game events or something)
Without the mod my feet kept getting lost, that's why I failed Paranoia Survivor heavy. lol.

Do you think you could get any better playing on one of those all the time?

I've had my CF for 4 years now and it still works just fine. The added bonus is that the new boxes have crossplatform capabilities (PC, USB, and Xbox) so the adapters won't be required.

I had no problem with knowing where my feet were on a CF even though it was completely flat.
I honestly don't know if it'd be worth it.



And yeah, You'll get better by using it.

Muscle memory should fix that right up after a week.

Speaking as somebody who had a CF for 7 months before I got deployed and got the arcade mod I prefer it to the flat CF as even though I adaptered to the CF it backfired as I wasn't used to the AC panels being lower so often my feet would actually be too low and sometimes I'd hit the edge with the front of my foot.

That's really just a matter of getting used to arcade pads. Which many times differs from cabinet to cabinet.

anyway, I say if you don't want to wait 6+ months I'd go with the CF with arcade mod.

okay okay and this is the stupid part. I was trying to get a stupid triple star on spaceman and the only problem was the hand at the end.
I'd either get a dropped hold or a miss from doing the hands properly but not having sensitive pads.






and I was like wtf. this is bullshit.
took a break, got a drink of water and was like "jeez. I might as well just quad it and drop a hold or get a miss at the end"

didn't quite happen, but I had a blue combo till about 61%. Last step was an excellent. :/

Stupid arcade keeps closing at 10 or 11 even though they're supposed to be open till midnight. I work till 9:30 and then have to drive home and change n shizzz. doesn't exactly give me much time to play.

[for us] the hours are supposed to be the same year round.


but yeah, I'm sure I'm going to be getting a quad (without whoring ) pretty soon. It's pretty exciting!
