Haha, maybe if I ever see the machine sometime, I'll give it a try, lol.
You convinced me Ho. That's hard to do. Good job.

It's easy to just hit the arrows in para para mode. What's hard is actually matching up the routine with what you're supposed to do (which is fortunately displayed by an on-screen character on 2nd mix). If you just want to hit arrows, put it on Freestyle mode and do hard difficulty. I never thought para para paradise would need high speed, but it does (and fortunately, it has such a mode). It's quite possible to fail some of those freestyles - there are a LOT of arrows!Riot wrote:It's impossible to be bad at Para Para Paradise. When I did it for the first (and only) time, I beat the hardest song in the game on my first try. And I'm paraplegic.
Now, that's just funny.Riot wrote: Eatmania IIDX
Toss me a PM if you're ever going to be in the Indy area. To my knowledge, I have the only machine in the state.blackcat24 wrote:Haha, maybe if I ever see the machine sometime, I'll give it a try, lol.

Har har...the words of someone that completely missed the point. Though in reality, a paraplegic may fare reasonably well in Para Para (game or dance) as it is primarily upper body motions.Riot wrote:It's impossible to be bad at Para Para Paradise. Is that a Eurobeat song? Is that why you're asking? It may be a hit...and it may have a para routine. But I do not believe that it appeared in any incarnation of PPP.Lil Dyme wrote:so im guessing Lucky and Wild isnt a great hit?
You started it!Ho wrote: And now, I shall sit back and chuckle at the fact that we've commited almost two pages of discussion about Para Para in--of all places--the In the Groove forum.
I get the "point" but not many people care about actually dancing or doing freestyle routines. Nowadays when most people play its for the technical aspects of a game, and that's what I was referring to.Ho wrote:Har har...the words of someone that completely missed the point. Oh, my bad. I thought you were the one that made that post. Accusal withdrawn. Green Tea: You started it!Ho wrote:Yeah, I get that. You are correct that PPP is not going to hold the interest of a technical player for very long. But my point was that the game itself is not targeted at such players--nor this culture, for that matter.

Haha, I'm actually going to Indianapolis with my boyfriend for my birthday coming up. Maybe we can coordinate and have a good ol DDR/PPP session at your house. Haha, I showed my boyfriend the picture of all the machines in your house, he's impressed...but he mentioned that you need an ITG machine in order for your collection to be complete:-PHo wrote:Toss me a PM if you're ever going to be in the Indy area. Of course you may be able to find someone with the PS2 version...although my experience has been that the home version sensors tend to be more frustrating than fun. Though you could still learn the routines that way.
...lmao...paraplegic? classic.Riot wrote:It's impossible to be bad at Para Para Paradise. When I did it for the first (and only) time, I beat the hardest song in the game on my first try. And I'm paraplegic.
