To be honest, I'll be surprised to see the ASCs distributed here in the US. I think one of the main reasons that Bemani titles haven't seen widespread release here in the US is that the American gaming mentality is to NOT purchase specialized controllers for games.
If you think about your average game accessory shelf, it's nothing but standard gamepads and cheapo third party knockoffs of said standard gamepads. Trying to convince the American market to buy a controller specific to a game just isn't that common. So my thinking is that they're probably apprehensive enough about asking Americans to shell out $50 for a standard IIDX controller that the thought of them putting a $300 controller on the market is probably not a risk they're willing to take...at least not right away.
Of course I hope I'm completely wrong on this. This is simply my opinion based on personal observations of the mentality of the console gamers that I know.

Write your Konami ID number down while you still have access to it (you can look it up on the machine). As far as I can tell, this is the only way to log into the website to look at your scores and such (can't do a lookup by DJ name), so you'll want to know it.

They shouldn't bring ASC's over, because as soon as I saw one retail, I would snatch it up and never have a life. The only thing stopping me from being a complete IIDX nazi is the fact that the Konami controller hurts my back after a while hunhed over it (not to mention pop'n 11). Whereas an ASC can be set on a stand.

Such is completely true in terms of the general gaming public. Seeing the Desktop Arcade stuff though has my interest peaked, espically since aside from the smaller turntable it's supposed to be arcade quality. Konami ASCs coming out here will most likely never happen which is unfortunate, but we can't have everything.

A quick update: 7th and 8th styles came in today! The end result: 5 new AAAs and me having to start unlocking those games as well. It should be interesting to see where my skills go from here.

Beatmania IIDX 13 Distorted has been confirmed to be the next arcade release.
Oh, another little news bit that I'm sure will make people happy is that there will be 4.5x and 5x Hi-Speed options now cause people were most likely complaining about the fact that 3.5x is only 3.25x and 4x is only 3.5x.

Alright I've been reading on Bemanistyle about 13 Distorted and something stuck out like a sore thumb for me for the new songs they posted up as being on the location test.
HARD RENAISSENBE / bloody tears(IIDX Edition) / DJ YOSHITAKA
A little backstory, Bloody Tears is from the Castlevania series and I love the orchestrated version of that song. If this does come out then I'm gonna be lovin that. However, there is a problem is the fact that these songs have been reported as not being in this style.
bad boy
CARRY ON NIGHT

Comment te dire adieu
Dancin' into the night
FINAL COUNT DOWN

GRADIUSIC CYBER

I'm hoping this is only true on the location test and they do appear on the actual arcade.

My worry is that I've heard some bad Konami remixes of Bloody Tears, and I wonder how they're going to extend it to be 1:40+.
If anyone doesn't know what Bloody Tears is, it's from CV II (Simon's Quest), also in the Keyboardmania Dracula Medley.

I ordered a beatmania controller (the konami official one, but not the arcade one unfortunately) today, so I'm excited.... even though I don't technically own the game

. I'll just wait for the US release, and until then I'm going to storm Merk's room and play with him! Fweee!

I recommend Swap Magic and a slide card.
http://www.console24.com has it in stock and that's what I use on my PS2.

I suggest using a slidecard.
