LoLoL.

And yeah I probably could do a better job acting sadly. As could the entire monkey population.

Did you ever see those "Monkeyed Movies" clips on TNT or TBS? (I forget which station) It eventually spawned that wonderful, yet short-lived, TV show called "TCC: The Chimp Channel." Those short clips were hilarious though.

It was good. Especially when you compare it to episode 1 and 2...in which case, it was really good...

Or, ONLY if you compare it to 1 and 2. I stand by my opinion that being the best of that bunch is like taking gold in the special olympics. It's hard telling how much blame can go on the actors, as we've seen them all do fantastic work outside of Star Wars (Ewan was the only one that came off as doing anything but reading his lines flat, imo); I am definitely sure that the dialogue didn't help them out, though. That was probably my biggest buzzkill- I know it's never been Lucas' forte, but I'm tempted to go back and see if 3-6 came off as simplistic and stilted.

I'd like to nominate Chewbacca for best supporting actor.

I found putting Chewbacca in the movie completely superfluous and unnecessary. All he did was detract from the story with a bunch of "OMG Chewbacca"s while adding absolutely nothing to the story or series, so I'd like to nominate him for "most misplaced character".

You are very true. I was confused why he was there as well. He was supposed to just be a supporting actor in the original Triogy, he didn't need to be explained. If they explained him with Han, that may be a bit different, but it still wouldn't be needed in the movie.

CaseyDidder wrote:I don't see how you guys are complaining about the acting/lyrics to the movie. None of you could do better, none of you write or direct or even act in movies. All you all do is watch them then try to be critical to make yourself feel important. Half of you probably didn't even form your own opinions on the movies, and just stole them from the internet.

Edit: wtf is this pumeleon faggot talking about in my comments? what a dumbass lol. this faggot doesn't even know who hes talkin shit to. I should shove my 'light saber' down his throat.
The acting really didn't bother me like it seemed to annoy other people. Yeah, some of the dialogue wasn't superb, but it wasn't terrible either. Perhaps some people expected more from Star Wars, but looking back at the other prequals, I think Lucas did a damn good job on this one. The only thing I can think of with the actors is that perhaps they were trying too hard, given the immense status of the movie. Just a guess...but like I said, it didn't bother me.
For the record, I do write movie screen plays...And trust me, it's not as easy as a lot of you might think. Even I don't know all the particulars of it, but I'm planning on getting back into it soon.

Pumelon? Well, he likes to debate. I suppose he isn't used to Casey's antics yet.

They kind of DO explain how Chewie and Han meet... or at least set the stage for Chewie meeting Han.

You see, the Wookies lose the battle of Kashyyyk and the survivors (Chewbacca included) are forced into slavery.

Han Solo, who at the time was an imperial cadet, was ordered to do a transport of slaves. Chewbacca was one of them. Han, who was already disenfranchised with the Empire, decided to free the slaves on his transport.

And that stripe on Solo's pants? It means he's passed imperial flight training, or some such nonsense.

Edit: Added the third y to appease the anal :P

I am very impressed. I always took pride as a kid knowing useless trivia about the movie. You sir take the cake. *bows*
