My facebook post wrote:For those who don't know this yet....yesterday I was in a car crash. I was heading home from hanging out with Rachael and playing Pump it Up. I left the mall around 5:30...about 5:45 I was on Walnut heading north toward old 37 and 37. I passed the Speedway and this guy pulled out behind me and he was acting odd. I ignored it for a bit, then looked up in my rear view mirrow for about 2 seconds and saw there was some distance between us and I didn't have to worry about him. I looked back down and there was a silver car stopped with his turn signal on.....I slammed on the brakes and cut the wheel right. I heard my tires screech across the pavement, and heard my car slam into this other one. I felt something pop up and hit my face. I look around at a grey cloud filling my car of dust off the air bags, I am shaking...almost convulsing in shock and fear, I unbuckle my seatbelt and I pulled the door handle and the door opened an inch and stoped. I thought I need to call my parents or 911...where is my cell phone? Found it on the dash. I grabbed it and then pushed really really hard on my door til I head metal bending enough to let me out...I got out....I heard someone yell....ARE YOU ALRIGHT...I walked away from the car like 4 steps and fell to the ground. My chest hurt, my face hurt, and it felt like it hurt when I breathed. I was taking to Bloomington Hospital and was kept in a neck brace for about 3 hours for them to tell me my neck was fine, and I checked out ok. Around 9:30 I left the hospital, my dad called the place that towed my car and they said it was done for, it was leaking oil and coolant...so it sounds like it is gone for. I escaped with a brusie on my shoulder and chest, and a small cut on my forehead from where my classes were pushed up from the airbag. And since it was my fault and I have minimum coverage...the guy I hit...his car will be fixed and I won't get anything for mine. But that is fine I walked away from the car alright. I am alive and not stuck in the hospital I should be greatful....I am going to miss my Honda though.
