If you really cared you would shut yourself away from society until you finished the book, DUh

I haven't seen Flakks sig yet, but please no spoilers. I'm off the forums until then.

yeah that is the best choice, since it tells what happens on what page and then at the end it says Spoiler Alert really small

It pissed me the hell off, that's a really asshole thing to do. I narrowly avoided the spoilers, only because I was halfway through the book when I saw it. Also, I actually WAS planning on avoiding the intrawebs until finishing the book, but figured I should be safe if I didn't venture to the Harry Potter thread. I guess I was wrong. Nice move, jackass.

Also,
Is that real?

Avoiding the internet because of Harry Potter spoilers? COME ON! If I happened to see a spoiler to any book that I enjoyed I would simply look for the back button and press it and go to a site where I knew wouldn't have spoilers.

That's not nice at all....Flakk probably just did it as a joke. I mean, I know it's a popular book, but seriously guys. I don't think Flakk meant anything by it.

Probably just to spoil the story of a long lasting epic series of books.
Non intentionally.
...

Sure it might have been fun for him. But people that do that realize that they are being a "jackass". A big one.

Thank you.

What a great joke, ruining the pleasure that others will derive from a book that they have been waiting for for a very long time.

What I'm trying to say is that it is just a book. It doesn't mean life or death or the end of the world or the apocalypse if you happen to figure out a little early what happens.

If you want to avoid the internet then fine, but I just think that it's kinda ridiculous to do so just cuz there's OMG spoilers everywhere.

hahaha. to change the subject, since I'm done talking about Harry Potter...here's a random picture that I took of my DS in Fort Wayne:

All I'm saying is that it's an incredibly rude, and tactless, joke.

I might offer you another solution: ad-block

It's a firefox plugin that I use to browse the forums at work. Actually at home too. See, if anyone puts an annoying picture in their sig or in their profile or up their pet cow's anus, you can just right click on said aforementioned picture and ad-block that shit to hell and you'll never see it again :)

Well, ok, I understand that, but if people have such a problem with it, why not talk to him in a pm about it? Or use Mike's method and use ad-block?
