Arka,

I noticed you posted some new scores. I took the liberty of raising the bar on them for you.

And...

I beat your Era score!

Meanwhile, I whored the friggin' crap out of 5.1.1. (L7/7) and e-motion (L7). I just can't seem to catch your scores on those. I can get close, but I give up out of frustration. Let's face it, listening to those songs more than 10 times in a row could cause otologic bleeding...or perhaps a psychotic break.

This little rivalry is definitely making me a lot better! And it's really impressive how far you've already come in such a short amount of time.

Ooh, ooh! Guess how many times I played them to get those scores.

One tip: you may want to go up by one or two high-speed settings for these - or drop down to a lower speed setting to get a better grasp of the overall piece, then crank it back up. I normally play on normal or maybe HS1, and I got my best scores on these at HS1 or HS2.

I thank you for your flattery. Sadly, I'm probably not doing as well as I should be. (How many years have I been playing piano, fer chrissakes?!) Still, it's nice that competition is having the desired effect (for both of us).

Now, you'd be getting even better if you were playing doubles... nonetheless, I shall work on some of your lower scores in the morning.

I noticed that 5.1.1 Hyper was the closest score I had to you guys, so I've been whoring that. I managed to raise my score by ~10 EX points, but I was >20 behind both of you, so I guess that means more ambient piano listening tomorrow. I think I'm second-closest to Arka on Paranoia Max (I think L7, though it might be Hyper).

Sounds plausible - none of my Paranoia Max scores are very good right now.

Also try The Cube[L7] and V[L7] (which I repeatedly good attack, for some reason), and give HitchHiker[7] a look. I think those are my three weakest remaining scores. (PM is about to be updated.)

Actually, the definitive score for an absolute AAA is 189,000. I've gotten one as early as 183k though on some of the more psychotic songs that I've played. I've actually done a perfect combo 188,880 score where I missed the AAA by 1 point!

In terms of rivals, Merk would probably be my rival, albeit he goes for clearing songs and I go for precision over clearing songs.

Wait, Ho got AAAs? HOLY CRAP!

On the other hand, I'm fairly sure my AAAs are signs of the coming apocalypse. Fear, Amp... fear.

But, yeah, as for those songs, I love The Cube L7, and I keep improving my score on that, I can't pass V L7, and I'm not sure if I can pass Hitch Hiker Hyper. I'll get to work on The Cube, Paranoia Max, and 5.1.1, though

I'd say you're doing better than him, only reason he beat you on overall songs is cause he's better at L7...lol. But you pwnd him on Another (AND A TIE ON 7 WTF?). Plus you beat him on EX points (but just barely!).
