Just as an update...I've redone the middle labret, and I got the nerve to pierce my bridge. I've got the nose screws to do both my nostrils, but I can't get the screws in right..........so they'll have to wait for a pro.

Oh yea I just bumped this topic, but my news it relevant....

*sigh* I had to retire my navel piercing today. Im a sad panda. It was the first "real" piercing I got and I never really paid attention to it, and then all of a sudden it got really irritatied. After a few weeks of dealing with it, I decided it was time. I guess I'll get it repierced later but Im just bummed. So Im a pretty sad panda. Piercing count down by 1, is now 9 >.<

Typically, suspension occurs with back, arm, and leg piercings. I have seen all of those and and of those individually. I've seen people get suspended by their sholdures, too. The most common is back, though.

You can suspend from everything. From ear lob piercings, from your ass, from your nipples and your knees to anything really.

I shall be doing a sucide suspension.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to do something like that? I'm not trying to put you down or anything, but I am rather curious. Isn't there a risk of permanent damage, or perhaps having the piercings themselves ripped out?

Your piercings cant rip out because you arent suspending from them. You suspend on from your skin.

There are many different reasons, one of the main ones is ritual and spiritual reasons. My main reason is just to know what it is like and experience it. It is also a great chance to meditate.

Grubb - Yeah, you'd be modified....and you'd officially qualify as fucking HARDCORE in my book.

For the suspensions...Like Pheadra said, you aren't suspended from your piercings....you get new piercings. Hooks are run through your skin that are attached to chains or ropesand you slowly get pulled up or you step down off a stool until you're hanging from the skin. That's why suspensions are usually done from the back, because the skin is EXTREMELY stretchy there....Personally, mine's going through the back and wrists. Sis is doing the suicide, I'm doing a modified crucifixion.......if I can keep up the nerve to do it. Honestly, it scares the everloving crap outta me.
