Yeah, it was a bad idea to only play Happy Hardcore.

I don't really hate the stuff, but at the same time, I would never play it at work or at a gig. There arn't a lot of people who like electronic music in Indiana, and only about 12 of them can stand listening Happy Hardcore 24/7.

Well, once it actually got started, it wasn't too bad. They had this rock band before it that wasn't too good, though.

Anyway, the attendance was very low, making it more like a house party than anything else. The DJ was good, and did NOT play Happy Hardcore.

Priceless moments? I'm not sure if there were too many, and those that were I did not witness, only heard about them.

Also: Can someone please LOCK this thread...? It's gotten out of control.

Out of control? Hardly. It seems to have leveled it self out now. If the event in question is over, but people are still discussing it or topics related to it, why lock it? Especially if they're being quasi civil about it now.

Listening to good music, and doing drugs are all a matter of personal opinion and choice, that's all there is to it. You can say 'good music' all you want man, but it's irrelivent, because it's your opinion. That's all. If they wanna listen to happy hardcore, or whatever, that's their choice. They may like it. Personally, I hate it, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that my opinion in music is all powerful.
If you don't like what they're doing, then do the logical thing: Don't go! That's all there is to it.

crystal method (crsytal meth..)
chemical brothers (do i need to explain this one?)
gabriel and dresden (popular hits such as "Use only the drugs" "on a high")
and the list goes on and on and on

also, no rave will have any sort of real backing unless drugs are there. It's true, they're backed in money by drug pushers because it's an easy way to move a massive amount of whatever drug they're moving. to sucessfully pull off a rave you have to have thousands upon thousands of dollars for the speaker equipment, the lighting equipment and any sort of party favors you are going to hand out

electronic music is MADE for the person tripping. each genre is based off a certain drug. techno, drum & bass and house are all for MDMA do to the violent buildups and break outs. trance/goa is for hallucinogens thanks to the ambient noises and guidance. to say it isn't is being moronic and ignorant.

also, if you had nothing to actually post to this topic rather than insult someone why did you even fucking bother posting. It seems like you care more about making some fucking retarded point to make someone look like an ass rather than talk about a topic you have no interest in. It gets old really fast fyi.

Damn y'all take stuff seriously around here...whats with the attacks? He says theres gonna be a "rave" you say its not big enough. OK, you think its not big enough, raves (or parties or whatever the hell you wanna call them) are only a good time if theres drugs, and theres gotta be X number of people for it to qualify under your standards? Damn man, just chill out. No one made you jump into this and frankly youve been quite an asshole to everyone who was involved with the event and was just trying to set something up so some people could go and have a good time.

Lighten up and open your mind to the fact that there are those of us out there who can have a good time without the use of drugs. Take your insecurities and jabs at other people somewhere else, because from what I understand, its shit like that that got this place shut down once already. We neither want it or need it so show some respect or butt out.
