I have a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit card in my system at the moment. It has 5.1 output, but I'd like to upgrade to a card with digital output sometime soon.

I know, and that's a good sound card. I want X-Fi and EAX 5.0 for gaming , and it will also sound good for music and stuff. And another big thing is it's better compatible with Vista 64-bit which I have. A lot of the Creative X-fi cards don't play nice with it. I'm not a total moron and just pick out the most expensive card.... I have Sennheiser HD555 headphones which are really nice but somewhat limited by my mobo's onboard sound.

Well, while X-Fi may be good hardware, the sad reality is that as a Linux user I'd rather use the tried and true Audigy 4.

Kind of depressing, but a real eye-opener. It puts into perspective just how small you are in the grand scheme of things.
The best part is the "now" selection. Hit "NOW" and watch the world go to hell in a matter of seconds.
