In the spirit of randomness, I'm talking about something completely unrelated!
Recently I have slightly enhanced my workout in preparation for a Physical Fitness Test that takes place next month and the possibility of being able to take the Green Belt course for Marine Corps Martial Arts this summer. Here's the workout setup.
Odd Days: (Heavy workout)
100 situps
Timed set of 100 Marine style Crunches
Hybrid of Marine Corps Martial Arts Core Training and modified version of Ab Ripper X
2 Max Sets of Pullups during the day
Upper body Pyramid (Quick Master Remix)
11 sets overall: Start at 1 pullup and add 1 to each additional set to get to 6. From there subtract a pullup until down to 1. Between pullups do 2 pushups for every pullup. There is no period of recovery between sets.
Even Days: (Light workout)
Lucky 7s: 7 sets of 7 pullups spread out throughout the day.
2 sets of 30 situps and 2 sets of 30 Marine Style Crunches
1.5-4 mile run, with 5-10 sprint durations afterwards (weather permitting)
March 24th Edit: I have increased my upper body pyramid by 1 pullup, 2 pushups, and 4 crunches on all sets for Phase 2.
