So apparently YouTube does videos in 3D now. I wondered why the video looked all goofy for this song and then noticed the 3D option underneath. Quick someone make something cool.

Dolly worked pretty well. The .gif looks pretty good. What's it called again, "tracking"? Or trucking. Pretty sure tracking. But yeah, purdy cool, looked fluid for the first dude moreso than the second dude when the camera stopped moving with all that headroom and didn't know where to go after.

Yeah, all the terms are pretty much used interchangeably I was just trying to remember the exact terminology. Tracking and trucking are the specific terms used under "Dollying" for sideways and forward-backwards moving camera shots. I think Tracking is side to side. ANYWAYS. Are you finishing up high school these days or what? What are your plans after that? Film school or something? Or is that too mainstream? =P

tracking is referred to in post only usually for compositing work, on set dollyings the word of choice. dropped out of highschool three years ago. not too mainstream, too much money. close to 200 grand without living costs, for a piece of paper and maybe some industry connections. For 200 grand I can fund my own feature film, get distribution and break into the business that way, which seems to be the recommended way of doing things these days anyhow

Awesome. I love videos like this.

Whenever a super-hyper-special-max whatever is unnecessarily long and epic. Someone needs to make one that lasts more than 30 seconds.
