I added more to my last post after you replied. It's not exactly about Japan, but it does include some Japanese color.
"What is Japan like" is a question that requires more words that I have the time to type at the moment. Is there something specific you want to know about? Also, I was on Okinawa, in Tokyo, and took a trip up to Tsubame. All three had distinct differences from each other. Asking what Japan is like is like asking what the US is like... i.e. Indianapolis and New Orleans are not especially similar.

I see!
Since you're of Asian complexion did everyone there assume you spoke the local language? Do you even know any glorious Nipponese?
Also, how crowded was Tokyo? I imagine it as literally wall to wall people. Do they absolutely love their Anime over there? Is there any love for American cartoons?

Ugh, would not look forward to more factory work. What factory do you work at, and how many dollar bills do they provide?

Absolutely not! While we may all look the same to you, Asians can tell each other apart.

No Japanese person would assume I'm Japanese. In fact, a cool thing happened at the very beginning of the trip before I even left the US. I flew on All Nippon Airways (ANA). As I was boarding the plane, the flight attendants were greeting passengers. I could tell they were attempting to greet people in their native language as the greeting differed from person to person. They definitely greeted me in English.

I think one may have greeted me in Chinese, but none of them did in Japanese.

If you're looking for a sea of humanity, Tokyo can certainly provide. Here's a video from my trip:

It really depends on where you go though. In most places it seems like any other big city as far as density of people on the street. But the Japanese definitely take advantage of the fact that they are space efficient and do/fit more in less space than we generally do here.
I can't really speak to the anime part. I didn't bother to watch much television. I certainly saw plenty of anime merchandise all over the place though. American stuff in general is cool to (especially younger) Japanese. So of course they love our cartoons as we do theirs.

Pyromation. I think they might have stopped taking applications for now, but who knows if anyone they hire will last (we've had people hire in who last a week and get canned) so you could probably still fill out an app online if you wanted to:
http://www.pyromation.com/AboutUs/Careers.aspx
Starting pay is $9.00/hr, 50 cent shift differential for 2nd shift. The pay-for-skill program they do gives you raises for every skill set you learn, on average one every 2-3 months. After your 60 day probation period is up you also get a 30 cent raise and 6 full days of vacation time.

I do kinda wanna see if there is a local scene for fighting games and stuff. I mean I know there is on shoryuken.com fort wayne board, but it'll be kinda awkward showing up at people's houses who I don't know. Wish PP or TnT had SSF4.
