Actually I was the last living nerd who didn't wanna bro out at all. The only time I really ever had fun in KDR was doing nerdthangz with Chad, Seth, Merk and the oldies. But then I got angry when people left a bowl in the sink. Less beer, more mana potions please.
I say more beer and more mana potions. Boozed up LANs were probably my favorite college experience. The 505 Quake 3 6v6 CTF matches were incredible. Oh and who could forget the 1902 Starcraft LAN?

Mad mad mad.

Homecoming was pretty lame and probably the most uneventful and wasted weekend I've had in a long time. You were right in wedding a lady with a birthday that happens around this time of year.

I was indeed disappointed. I should have gone to Ho's. . .
I haven't had a lot of fun in Bloomington since Roooit lived there.
It isn't the city, so much as the lack of activity. We should've gone to Season's Beatings. We could've talked to Marn about eating and how he beat Daigo one time.

lol that's awesome.

Here's Marn (Dudley) vs. Daigo (Ryu) btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxP8HUc1TpU Not the best quality but it's serviceable. Pretty good match, except Marn is a big fat sore winner and looks like a slimy toad from Final Fantasy

I rather enjoyed my homecoming experience. Single most eventful day of the year.

For all the hate that the Final Fantasy series gets lately, I still maintain it's one of the best series out there. It's still my personal favorite and I think every game is pretty darn good. And despite all the people that rag on XII, I think it's one of the best in the series. The writing, overall design aesthetic, and battle system were some of my favorites. The character development lacked, but at least the characters were pretty cool overall. Same with XIII; the overall aesthetic and battle systems were awesome, but character development was kinda iffy.

I didn't mind XII, either. I certainly won't say it was my favorite, but I enjoyed it and the battle system was an interesting change. I haven't played XIII,and honestly I probably won't. My roommate has it, and I've seen him play quite a bit, but it didn't seem to intrigue me.
Overall, I think VI, VII and VIII were my favorites. I haven't played IX, and while I enjoyed X, I wouldn't put it on my favorites list for any other reason than I had a juvenile crush on Yuna back in the day.

Interesting little known fact:

The game was known as Final Fantasy III when it was first released in North America. What you played when you were a kid actually was Final Fantasy VI.
