Yeah and regarding the 7 greats that I got on Kind Lady yesterday, I was like so mad, cuz I couldn't submit that score into DDRecall because I only held 33/36 holds. So, if I submitted the score with 7 greats, my score would be lower. So I was a little sad about that.

New AA: Love Love Sugar? I dunno, it was a song under the Ls and it had Love in it and then a bunch of Japanese stuff... this is what the picture looked like:
Yeah, so basically whatever that song was, I AAed it, and uh, yeah updated scores on DDRecall.
Hey Ho, is that song a Pop n Music song? Cuz those characters in the background and on the banner thing look like Pop n Music characters.

Yup, that's Love Love Sugar. And yes, it originally appeared in pop'n music. If you sort by game in Extreme, you'll also see that song come up under the pop'n sort. BTW, the character on the title banner is named Milk.
And if you think this song is fun in DDR...you should try it in pop'n!

Congrats, Katy!
You know you're good when you start AAing things you don't know the names for.
And:

Why does that simple statement fill me with fear?

Love Love Sugar [9-line] is fine and dandy. Love Love Sugar [Hyper], on the otherhand... that's more like utter rage and frustration. It made me mad on PNM8, now it has come back to haunt me in PNM12. *cries*
Regardless, good job on the AA Katy! You've gotten much better with your PA ability.

We'll have to play together sometime soon so I can actually see the improvement, hehe.

Yes. The 9-line is super fun. Hyper is super hard, but I somehow managed to brute force my way to a 71k pass the other day. It wasn't pretty, but it was a smacktastic good time!
BTW Secef, you don't seem to post scores to PNN anymore. What gives?

For sure! Let's all have a DDR party and play songs with Japanese titles that we've never even heard of before in our lives! Let's have JAPAN NIGHT! YAY!
Yeah, I'm really really happy with my progress. 16 AAs and counting
Why is El Ritmo Tropical so anal? Seriously, I've played that song a ridiculous amount of times...and I still can't AA it. Even Mike can't AA it yet, and that's just plain sad.

Funny you mention that. See... for the last year, I've lived in a room that was the size of a walk-in closet, so sadly I haven't had the space to play Pop'n. However, I just moved into a new apartment where I have plenty of room to play (been playing for hours on end all week long

), so I've been jotting down some scores again (mainly from PNM12). I just haven't gotten around to submitting them yet. Not that they're great or anything though... I'm kinda out of Pop'n shape. For instance, I really should be able to beat Foundation of Our Love Hyper, but I can't. >_<
Katy: El Ritmo Tropical isn't bad once you have the rhythm down... which sounds like silly advice to give for DDR, but really that's all it is. There're also one or two spots in the stepchart that do not go to the music, or at least not very well. Those spots tripped me up quite a bit until I was finally able to play it with speed mods.
Next time we all play together, I'll play it so maybe you can hear the footstompy rhythm. Listening to other people's feet while they play songs I have trouble PAing has always helped me figure them out.

Lol Ho wouldn't be able to play anything

.

OFT! I then get to thinking of the song as having that beat and basically memorize it and then I can just see what arrows to stomp it to.

PNN =
Pop'n Navy, the pop'n music score site (like VJArmy or DD:Recall, only for pop'n).
Therefore:
You = wrong
I know you delight in catching my mistakes...but this isn't one of them. Catching me in a non-mistake only makes you look foolish. So "ha ha" to you.

But in the end, I'm only human...born to make mistakes.
(let's see if anyone gets that reference)
At any rate, I've been whoring the crap out of pop'n for the past month or so. I've probably logged 300-400+ scores! I've been
comparing mostly to MonMotha, but I've been
"battling" Secef, too. Seeing how I stack up against people I know gives me something to shoot for. My skills are finally starting to get somewhat competitive. I was hoping to see some newer scores from Secef, but many of his old scores are still better than mine anyway.

Aww...

. I realized something was wrong when I Googled to check my correction and got just as many Pop 'N' hits for "pnn pop" as for "pnm pop". Oh, well. Until your next mistake, Ho

You see, I thought I knew the beat really well. And I can full combo it, but I mean, I've gotten down to like 35 greats and it's still not a AA. I think Mike got like 29 greats and a boo and even that wasn't a AA. I just think that you have to have this ridiculously low great count to be able to AA it. I just don't like El Ritmo Tropical because it's anal and it won't obey my will.
Hey Kyler, btw, I work at the Back Alley now. Sooo, drop by whenever you have time and we'll play together, ok?

That one is funny but I still find this saying from flakk funny. I laughed for a good 20 minutes after reading this.....and I quote....

That is the end of Ho's famous "Third Theorem of Differential Corrections in Four-Dimensional Forums". It's not a laughing matter, it's serious stuff.
