Oh man did I get to this thread too late. Fortuantely for me, someone took their opinion to the bank and got a clue. To sam, who insists that electronic music started on drugs, well that couldn't be less accurate. What is more likely is that people who attend raves, are the kind of people that would do drugs. Same as people who play ddr are the kind of people that tend to watch anime. I'm not talking about causation here, just some similar traits.THE REAL DEAL wrote:that's the most ignorant ass comment i've seen so far in all these pages of bullshit. i could write a 5 paragraph essay after reading all this dumb shit since the last post i made but it won't stick in anyone's head so i'm done. maybe if some of you would actually get out around here (Club Fusion, Melody Inn, Mirage, etc.), you would know that the electronic music scene around here is growing and the drugs are NOT involved. i wish everyone on bluelight could see all this dumb shit that's been said on here. a lot of them would be offended too with all these bullshit drug references and whatnot.sam wrote:a rave doesn't exist without drugs.
First off, I'm all about electronic music, mostly House, Breaks, and DnB. I'm actually going to get my hands on my first set of decks here in a bit. I'll also note that I've never been to and have no intention of going to a rave. Candy kids are annoying, usually dumb, and even more usually ugly as sin. Why I'd want to 'dance' with people is beyond me, though I'd hardly call waving your arms around and banging your head to hardcore cr*p that pushes 200+ bpm dancing. I'll stick to my parties, whose only downfall are that they tend to be 21+. Plenty annoying when I was younger. But hey, I love the music... not the drugs. I think drugs have given the party scene an image that it doesn't rightfully deserve, and killing that image is a solid start to killing the stigma behind it. Parties in indy are great I've heard, though these thursday nights at Fusion never seem to make it into my schedule. Bloomy has some great DnB people, and their parties are lots of fun. I'm not blind to drugs though, as you can always spot a few jackasses on the dancefloor doing what they do best. Usually surrounded by people like myself laughing at them. I'm waiting for time to take its toll, and these 'old skool' ravers to fade away.
Raves dead? Good. I'll just keep on clubbing.

I'm not missing this one, as it looks like it'll be a solid time.

It's a joke. And people tell me to lighten up?XxJennaxX wrote:Wow, that's got to be the stupidest thing I've ever read. I can't comment to something that ridiculous.Original Sin wrote:You're not exactly a pretty boy either, Casey.
Besides Casey, you're once more basing your victory on an opinion. What's presentable to me won't be presentable to you, and visa versa.
To each his own, man. Let's leave it at that.
Whoever said I claimed victory?? And what a bad joke if no one actually gets it, sorry. But anyways, yes we will never agree on that sort of thing. But I just have to say, Casey and I are the hawtest couple on indyddr. (Well Allyson and Chris tie b/c I <3 them and they are super sexxy). Now, there's a victory.Original Sin wrote:It's a joke.
