Nope he loves anime if it's on the DS and he can play it in secret with Gwenbear.

Fluffyumpkins wrote:#10? Isn't that a manga game?
It's basically Phoenix Wright with swear words, violence, blood/gore, and a "mature plot" or whatever you want to call it. It is a text game / interactive fiction but it's well done and perfectly suited for its medium. If this game were on anything other than the DS it would have been censured for sure.

It's probably one of the better written games out there which it absolutely needs to be considering the story is all it has to go on. The twists are actually surprising, the plot is something that hasn't been done a thousand times over, and the characters are not walking anime tropes. The game has its pitfalls for sure but it was an enjoyable and refreshing experience nonetheless.

The game was developed by Chunsoft who also did "Machi" which was listed in the top ten on that top 100 games I posted last page if that means anything.

Just fucking play it.
Right, but Merk hates anime... or does he?
Anime is 99% awful and the people who love anime are a big part of that.

Video games? Hm...

1. Tetris (NES)
2. Contra (NES)
3. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
4. Kabuki Quantum Fighter (NES)
5. The Guardian Legend (NES)
6. House of the Dead (Arcade)
7. Super Puzzle Fighter II (Xbox Live)
8. River Raid (Atari)
9. Max Payne (PC)
10. Typing of the Dead (PC)

Honorable mention: ET (Atari)

I'm sure this wouldn't really be my list, but of games I have in my head right now, these are them. Tetris, Contra, & Chrono Trigger I can say for a fact are the Top 3. If I had my collection on me, I could give a better outcome.

Gonna throw this out there:

Games have become way too movie-like. I miss the days where my mind sort of had to fill in the blanks between the crude 3D animations or the sprite work. I liked it when stories weren't so overt and complex and so overbearing. Characters' mannerisms and voices were up to my imagination. Consoles and computers used to be limited in what they could do so developers had to be creative to overcome their limitations.

Now everything is a beautiful, glossy, and vapid piece of shit. You don't even need to make a good game anymore just as long as it looks pretty and sets your videocard on fire.

I remember thinking when I was younger about how awesome the games of the future were going to be since the shit that's coming out now is so great. Boy am I disappointed.

This is me being a crotchety, nostalgic old guy.

Xenoblade is a good game though!

E-Euro.
I-Italy.

The more I think about it, I should be switched with E. "Durrrr we took a tomato and herbs and mashed it up. Let's put it on pasta and charge a lot of money. Mucha Belle!"
-Benito Mussolini

Indian would be A tier.

Makes me wonder if you've even had legitimate Italian food. Fazolis and macaroni grill don't count.

I feel like tiering food is like tiering music. It's all about what you're feenin at that moment.

Like right now I'm feenin Mexican but I know that after I bust my M-food nut that I'm going to want something new the next day.
