Hey there is a 5th Mix tourney in Fort Wayne on February 25th 2006 at Lazer X. It starts at 9PM. Why, I don't know. I honestly would love to see the Fort Wayne crew there, as well as some out of town ppl. I understand it's 2 weeks from now but I wouldn't have even known about it, had I not wanted to play 5th Mix. I know there will not be a great turn out because of short notice, but it's just a heads-up on ppl who can attend. I happen to be a fan of Lazer X because they have quite a few old school games that are only 1 token to play.
Some games they have are...
Killer Instinct 2 (which no one can touch me at

)
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 3
Star Wars Racer
Star Wars Trilogy
X-men children of the Atom
X-men VS. Street Fighter
Wayne Gretzky's 3-D Hockey(kiss ass

)
Soul Edge
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Bust-A-Move
War Gods
....among over a dozen more.
HERE IS THE FLYER THAT WAS ON THE MACHINE...

Also, do not ask me why they have their divisions the way they are. I'm just letting ppl know who might be interested. I will be there and really hope to see others there as well. They had one before but no one showed up, so it was cancelled. Now that someone(me) is relaying the message, maybe ppl will show up.
PLZ NO BICKERING ABOUT THIS, I have no say on what goes on at this. It is what it is.
EDIT: here's the website

I'll probably show up for a while, too. Can't play worth shit anymore (as if I ever could. XD), but it'll be fun to watch or maybe participate in.
They close at midnight over there at Lazer X on Saturday nights. They probably pushed starting it back until 9:00 so that they could get most of their tag business through before the DDR people showed up for the tournament, while at the same time giving the tournament enough time to wrap up so that they can still close at their scheduled midnight.
That's my guess, anyway. I wonder who set this up? I think that Zach still works over there, but I'm not sure.

3 hour tournament with 3 divisions? Uhhh, yeah... it'll have to be single elim if you want to get close.
I think Zach does still work there. Speaking of which, he never posts anymore...

Well even with 3 divisions. Who's really going to do amatuer? for that matter light? Shouldn't take too long.

True.
I really hope this doesn't suck.

Wow. I'm scared now.
Um, on topic (sorry), I don't see anything on the website about the tournament itself. Do any of you locals have info on the tournament rules, or could you be persuaded to go inquire?

I have no idea. Shannon seems to be the only Fort player who posts that knows anything about it. I'm going to play some 5th mix Friday afternoon so I can post some rules if I find them out.

So I went and played today for a little bit at Lazer X. The left side is fine, but the right side's left arrow gave me numerous BS misses.
Also, I reaffirmed how much my PA sucks on 1x.
