Hello all!
My father owns the arcade in the College Mall in Bloomington
"Great X Scape"
I thought you guys might like to know that tommorrow {April 28} we are receiving a few new games. We already own a Fast and Furious racing but we are getting another one for duel racing. We are getting a House of Dead 4 and a Spongebob coin game. We recently added last month Tekken 4 and Soul Calibur 2.

2 tokens (50 cents) for all, except the Spongebob coin game is 1 token (25 cents) per play

Sweet! We now get situation updates, too! 8)

I've never gotten into arcade FPSes, unfortunately, but I should at least *try* HotD4.

But when are you getting Pop'N Music? :? :P

House of the Dead 4 is a great game. This time, you get an uzi and grenades and the zombies can push you around (shake the gun to regain control). The grenades aren't just throw then boom either. You can actually cook them for a quicker explosion.

This is the best game in the series, but it's NOT worth the $1.75 to play it at Dave and Busters (the only place I've seen it).

Shaking the gun to shake off zombies is cool. Shake to reload is dumb. At least you can still shoot off-screen to reload (also dumb, but at least familiar).

I'm generally not a huge fan of shooting games just because they can get kind of repetitious, but the HotD4 deluxe cabinet with 62" HD DLP monitor is cool enough in itself that I was compelled to play it.

That was the cabinet style I played on at D&B.

House of the Dead 4 rocks my FPS life right now.

Now if only I had money to buy tokens to play. XD

Yeah, but the resulting delay from the DLP would make the game virtually unplayable. I mean, IIDX is horrible on a DLP, and Pump has similar gameplay, right? :)

But yes, that cabinet is pretty darned awesome. I'm not too enthralled with the game otherwise (but the approach of "keep dumping quarters in until you beat the boss" has got to make some arcade ops happy), but the cabinet is pretty darned cool.

I found the game to be pretty addicting. I know I dumped at least 5 credits into the D&B machine when I played it.

Bad news! Our games were suppose to come in today but the distributor wasn't able to bring them. They could be in as early as Saturday or as late as Monday. I'll keep you guys posted.
