So with the calendar in creation people brought up some complaints saying it's the wrong direction for the indyddr community. what would be the right direction you ask?

how can this be done? stepmania! it's a gpl program which you are free to use and sell as well, it's what in the groove uses. We could make a skin, maybe do an addition to the game if wanted and add some indyddr member's music to it or use freedomain music. sell it for like $5 a pop and put it all towards some charity. maybe ask the stepmania community to join in?

I've never been all that into Stepmania, so this doesn't appeal to me personally. But the idea itself has potential.

me neither, but i like playing around with programs and cusomizing them. if others were interested in generating step charts w/ songs i could compile it into a mix. stepmania is pretty powerful mind you, it probably would be possible to convert the interface as pleased. i mean, ez2dance & piu has been put on it. can't be too hard to put iidx in. we could do a combination of bemani in one mix or something but that might be biting off more than i can chew.

I dunno anything about BM/IIDX, but I've been thinking of making some stepfiles...I could do stuff for some mainstream and/or Romanian songs...there's some pretty good ones mind you, Romania's got pretty much the best developed music industry in Europe.
