Dancing Quirks

Everyone has little quirks they do when they play dancing games....some may not recognize it but they do. And I thought it would be neat for people to point out other people's quirks that they do while they dance....I will start...

Chris aka FLAKK puts his arms straight down holds his hand bent back and he always bends his fingers over almost to a fist and has 1 finger sticking outward on each hand.

Go nuts people (I am happy not many people see me play so no one has mine :D)

I have a habbit of clenching my fists...and doing a hitch hiker thumb thing....although I'm trying to wean myself off that. I also play DDR with my mouth open. Must be too concentrated to notice it's open.

Oh and when Mike plays, his eyes like bulge out of his skull. His eyes just get really wide.

I suppose I could post my own quirks too....I play in socks but I have tendencies to step hard with socks on.....and I have a tendencie to roll my thumb over my pointer finger knuckle as I play even if my hand is on the bar

I punched in a search for it and I got no results. And it is just basic conversation about all dancing games so it seemed to fit in the right spot.

If I'm not freestyling, I know that sometimes it looks like I'm trying to snap my fingers on my right hand, but I don't actually snap. Only sometimes do I do that. =P

I never noticed it until someone pointed it out at the first SugoiCon I went to. I was finishing up a set on Didder and he came up saying, "Did you know that you play with your hands in fists as if you are pointing at something?"

I tried playing with my arms looser, but it seemed to lower many of my scores.

you don't have to change it I think it is odd how we all have them....I tried to step lighter....but stepped so light that I miss because I am barely steping at all....lol. You should do that and like train yourself to like stick out your middle finger to flip off those who notice your quirk

Actually, I think I've already done that (at the same event).

SDP always swings his arms like a drunk German polka-type guy trying to dance, and he always has this funny position with his butt sticking way out...it looks really hilarious I gotta say...

I don't know what I do.

I concentrate so hard when I play that I forget to blink --- this dries out my contact lenses so that when I do blink at the end of the song they frequently come out :(

I have to tell myself "BLINK, DAMMIT, BLINK" while I'm playing. So much for 'involuntary response'

I had this same issue, too. LASIK has done wonders for my rhythm game performance.
