So I decided to ressurect the good ol piercing thread, but renamed it 'Body Modification.'

So what is everybody's view on body modification, love it? Hate it? Creeped out by it?

Also what do you have, what have you had?

As most of the people already know, Im a huge advocate for body modification and steering people away from it's stereotypes. And of course I love it, all aspects of it, its orginality, beauty, and pain.

What I have:
1 (technically 2) tattoos
4 stand ear lobe piercings
1 cartilage piercing
2 cleavage piercings
2 nipple piercings
1 navel piercing
and 1 brand.

I retired two corset piercings:
One 14-piece (or 14 rings)
and one 20-piece (or 20 rings) corset.

Also, have any pictures of your modifications, that is, if they are work safe? I of course have some, but I believe most of you have seen them anyway

Personally speaking, i don't think I could ever go through with anything like a piercing or a tattoo on myself, but I don't think it's bad for everybody else. I mean really, it's your body, do whatever you want to do with it. The only thing I AM against about it, is tattoos once people turn like 60 and 70 and it says something like "HARDCORE" on their bicep which is all wrinkly and such..just kinda gross, but whatever floats your boat, ne?

I wondered when you'd start this thread...

Body mods are pretty much always cool, but it's not my style, so don't be expecting me to do it. Though your new cleavage piercings kinda freak me out. And I'm kinda half 'n half on the brand. But overall, it's all good.

Nothing major I just have one tattoo on my calf and 2 peircings in my ear.

I'd love more tattoos, but deceiding what I want takes forever, plus affording them is another story, I guess they will be an after graduation present to myself.

I'm thinking seriously about getting large a tatto on my back.

It would be large, white, feathered wings. Angel wings, ya' know.

Haha, I kind of fancy myself a "Guardian Angel" of sorts.

Atleast that's what she used to call me.

I have a feeling that the neck piercing will be mentioned sooner or later...

I'd like to get my ears pierced a little more, but it's not high on my priority list in life, and I've also considered a tattoo (although that's much lower on the list than even more ear piercings). I've got a very small threshold for pain, so yeah. n_n;

Like most people, I'm not always into modifications, but I won't deter somebody before they do whatever they're doing.

Ahh yes, the body mod thread again. Tattoos are too permanent for my liking, but I do like piercings.

Nothing has changed since the old thread, as I still have-
2 nipple piercings

The main difference now versus the old thread is that now they're fully healed. They're fun to both play with and have someone else play with


I also want to get either a cartilage or good ol' lobe piercing when I get around to it, but I'm lazy and haven't yet.

Anyhow, all I've got is some stretched out lobes. Took my navel out.

Some body modifications can be attractive if used sparingly, but in general, I don't think the majority of them are attractive. However, I don't think less of or hold it against people who do get them.
Personally, I don't think I'd ever get one, since they're too permanent for my taste. I express myself more through my clothing, and often change styles and clothing types rather randomly. Yeah, I know piercings aren't 'permanent,' but it does require being stabbed, and it's just too much hassle and pain, especially the after care phase.

I want to get just a simple piercing. I'm thinking either the bottom lip or the eyebrow.

BTW, I've heard bad things about the eyebrow piercing, particularly that it shifts over time and you have to get it re-pierced sometimes if it isn't done right? Anyone care to comment on this?

Maybe I'm the only person I know who feels this way, but tongue piercings gross me out to no end. They are absolutely repulsive.

Its called rejection, and its really all dependent on how your body reacts to the piercing. If you take good care of it, and your body likes it, then it wont reject, but some other reason your body doesn't like it, it will physically push the barbell/CBR out of your eyebrow.

seriously though? What kinda tattoo on your hip?

A lot of my ladyfriends have gotten really, really ugly, distasteful Tattoos. Including Micheal Jackson from the cover of his "Bad" album, and one even got Stewie from family guy on her shoulder!

Sure, family guy is really funny and all. But why would you want Stewie slapped onto your shoulder for the rest of your life? Let alone Micheal Jackson.
