If you're a fan of fighting games or pretty much any popular 2D arcade game (Twinkle Star Sprites, Magical Drop III for example) that has been MAME'd and you can't find any competition or anyone to play with in your area then this site is an absolute gem. I've been playing around with it for a while now and it's really user-friendly, easy to set-up (it's browser based so there's nothing you need to download), and by far the most lagless on-line play I've seen yet.

It's a lot of fun, 3rd strike at any given time has at least 100 people playing so there's never any lack of competition and the people that play are definitely good competition. Check it out, as far as I know it's the best MMS out there. Don't be a bonerface

Just an FYI this website has been replaced by http://www.supercade.net

There's no application anymore and it does the match making through the website itself which is kind of neat. It provides a better look at people who are actively looking to play games instead of having the user sift through all the idle people through trial and error to find people who want to play.

I am on this now, been playing shooters and metal slugs and samurai showdown 2 with people and very little SF3rd strike

Apparently this is awesome. Better netcode, spectators and multi-man lobbies, repays, etc.

Does this mean I should stop using GGPO and Kaillera?
I've never had too many issues with them.

I don't know, the comments suggest that it's ten times better than ggpo, but I don't know if it's exaggeration because I've never tried ggpo. I'm just waiting for 3rd Strike Online to play on XBL.

God damn, 3S Online looks really, really good. If GGPO actually delivers and there's no lag then I can see myself playing the shit out of this game.
