max to the XXXimum is the hardest song made by ddr they couldnt put on arcades cause no one could pass it it goes 450 bpm if you have lime wire go there type in the name and you can get it

Oh, and if you want to see hard, just play Cannon D CZ on Pump. Konami may not have been willing to put excessively hard stuff on DDR (though I bet they were under the impression PSMO was practically unbeatable), Andamiro apparently has no qualms about putting such things on pump.
Also, Konami has no problem with fast. DDR defiantely turned into a speed game by Extreme. Hell, the CS version (JP) has Max.(period), which has a scroll of 600BPM at the end (go real Max 300 on x2; it's doable, though challenging if you aren't familiar with it).
