Played a bunch last night. It was good to get back into it, but my legs are a little wobbly today.

I passed Naoki Standard and Nearly 130 on Single and failed Soul 6 on the penultimate step of the set. Played a lot of other random songs in both Single and Double. I had forgotten how good MAX2 was. We should definitely play this for awhile whenever you get your machine going again.

Give me a time and a place and I'll help you out. Plenty of people have helped me out with my machine and I'm all about paying it forward, ya know?

Same.

My back isn't the greatest at the moment, but I'd be happy to help out as much as I can.

Alright, my machine's up and running. It plays pretty well, but I've got some parts on order to hopefully make it even better.

I only have Extreme at the moment, but I should be able to get the discs I need for other stuff soon.

In the mean time, how have you guys not done Do You Remember Me or True (Trance Sunrise Mix)? Double, of course.

So what's the scoring? Modern-era DP or just 2xPerfect+Great?

Scoring is 2x Perfect + Great...which I thought was DP score. At any rate, you can use stayonsync.com to calculate, if you're feeling lazy. That's what we've been doing.

Meanwhile, I finally fixed the huge gap of blank space that preceded the score table in the OP. I didn't realize it, but it was actually growing. There was one blank line for each row in the table. The line break keep the table code human readable/workable with each tr on a separate line was inserting a line break since that's what phpBB does at the end of a regular line.

I found a tip on how to hack up the BBcode for tables to prevent this. It makes for some ugly source, but at least we don't have that huge gap anymore. The alternative was to have that table be a single line of code, but I thought that would make editing it a nightmare.

DP score is 2xPerfect + Great - 2xBoo - 4xMiss + OK, IIRC. Most score trackers have moved to just considering all non-combo judgements as 0 and basically ignoring dropped freezes, it seems.

I thought DP came from the MAX2/Extreme oni scoring (specifically Extreme which showed a score rather than a percentage) and didn't subtract for Boos or Misses.

I'm familiar with the scoring method you're presenting where there are actual penalties (rather than simply no score) for missed steps, but I'm not really sure where it comes for or where it was used in-game.

At any rate, Merk and I have been using the simpler method.
