I have a Pretty much new Red Octane Metal pad. Just needs one wire fixed on the back arrow. You just need to know how to saughter (or however you spell it) Or if someone has a Technic 1200 turn table for sale/trade maybe we could work something out.

Get it soldered first and then sell it for like 70-80% of retail. You'll probably get a lot more profit. If it's got a broken thing that requires soldering, a lot of people don't know how to solder and you'll probably only be able to sell it for like a quarter of the cost. Soldering isn't that expensive either, and I'm sure there are plenty of places to get it done (if it's just one little thing I'm sure it'll take just a few minutes and only cost you like $10 if you get it from a nice person.)

I have a hard time getting someone to do it for me though. But like I said if anyone knew how I'd sell it for 100 bucks. Bought it straight from http://www.redoctane.com for 240 shipped.

Just google "solder" and then the name of the city you live in. I'm sure something will pop up. Or look in the phone book. Call and ask for a quote on it. They might want you to bring it in and show it or something.

Soldering is easy, man. You can get solder at your local hardware store for a couple bucks, and melt it in to place with a match if you really feel motivated. I've had to do it on my guitar's wiring a couple times...not really a big deal.

I don't know about using a match for your first time soldering... you might ask around to see if you could borrow someone's soldering iron for a day or something and then do it yourself.

Soldering irons are like $8 at Radio Shack (yes, they do still sell them, or go to Fry's). A roll of solder with more than you will use in your lifetime unless you do a lot of this sort of thing is probably $3 or so. Soldering isn't tough, but getting good and doing small stuff can require a lot of practice.

If you really need to borrow an iron and some solder, let me know and I'll bring mine with me to a get-together some time. I own 3 soldering irons, so loaning one out isn't a problem (as long as I get it back!).
A normality test:

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

The reason why I'm selling the pad this cheap is for someone else to solder it so I don't have to mess with it.
