My team is cal - m, And we have a tourney in about 2 1/2 weeks. Ive been playing cs since i was 10.

I would agree that CS:S does blow but 1.6 just feels better:D
Plus more people play 1.6 i just wish i had cable as opposed to Dial-up:(

If you were truely playing since you were ten, you'd know that if you make a claim like that, you need to post the proof with it.

If you have played for that long, what is the main difference, a huge one, around the T spawn on the orignal dust de_dust?
This is fucking easy, if you don't get it... it's just sad.

And uh... There's only one Cal league for source, same as for cs, and all the other games retard. Divisions are a different thing.
And it's not hard to be a high ranked person on source, all the good people stayed with 1.6.
If you notice CoL and 3D and NoA, everyone is still playing 1.6 buddy. GFG bye

The easiest way to learn about it would be to go to Col or something, maybe NoA, I haven't been to their site actually, so i don't know what's up with that.
But if you look on CoL's forums, there are posts about the past greats, like, oldschool people. REALLY oldschool people, when CS skill was something not many people had, I would reccomend Toop Players... 7 I think. It's a video that Complexity productions did, it's a ton of the old greats highlights made into a skill video. It brings back the old days, when I wasn't in CAL, and the clans really didn't care who they played with, it was awesome playing with SK and stuff a long time ago. They really weren't that awesome back then though, we kicked their asses in a scrim. But then of course, they won CPL lol, they got a lot better.

What version of CS did you like the most and why? (Betas do not count, cause they own what it was after it went retail.)
I say 1.3 was the best, as do many others. The recoils were almost the best they've ever been, they def haven't been any better since then.
The guns all having their own recoils was great, then Valve had to noob it completely, especially with 1.6, seriously, yuck, I hate the recoils now. If I could go back and play 1.3 now, I'd be cal-i pretty easy prolly. Freaking 1.6 just blows. I'm more into just screwing around in cal matches now, and I only join it like, once a year lol, with a few of my friends. We go Cal-O and pub the shit out of it lol.

Also, what do you guys think of the new league that popped up? I think multiple leagues are good, but if it goes the way of ogl.... *shudders* lol

Oh, btw, CoL is team complexity, I think the site is http://www.complexityclan.com , but i'm not sure.

And source has so few teams that they had to start interdivisional play in the fourth week! XD

It's a competitive game that appeals to aggressive young men that have no other way to get their aggressions out, so of course they're going to compare their e-penises to each other. It's competative. People do this same thing in many other games (DDR, Halo, etc) and even do it with real life games *gasp*. This is the same thing as making petty arguments over playing football or bowling, only arguing about CS makes you seem like a drooling nerd while arguing over football makes you seem like a buff jock.

Also using the oft-clichéd line of it being just a game and playing it for fun only proves your point moot, as for some people arguing over the game and comparing themselves to others actually is part of the game and actually is fun to them. Hey, if the kids are having fun let them be. Your definition of fun is not the universal definition.

I don't think you have much merit coming in here and tyring to be a "voice of reason" attempting to take away their fun. Party pooper.

I mean, my brother is quite awesome at Halo, and his friend... didn't suck horribly. So they decided to invite me over to play Halo 2, 1v1v1, I pwnd them all despite nat having played Halo for... about a year and a half. So they decided to team up on me, 2v1. I still kicked their asses 15 - 4. I'm not kidding.

Anyway, long story short, my brother refused to play Halo against me since I kept hijacking his craft, and then I hijacked his craft when it was floating over a bottomless pit, and he fell to his death. That's when he realised that he's really NOT that good at video games.
