best buy is crazy. they don't work on comission just the managers are required to sell x amount of product before the month is over or they get the can. every morning (or at least once a week) the lackees are required to move displays around the store to keep it fresh. i could keep going but i don't want to piss people off. i used to to work for ovation in lafayette so i know all about their tactics.

Best buy is run totally on numbers. How you're doing as a store is based on four main numbers, like margin, close rate, revenue, etc. When you're low on a specific number, they always tell you things you can do to fix it. Sometimes I think they make it a bit more difficult than it has to be, considering I'm only selling computers. As long as you do a decent job, they don't get down on you... It's true, we're not on commission, we don't make anything on the sales, but we're still numbers driven, so if we don't sell stuff, sometimes they talk to you in a "constructive" manner. Most people are good at this, but there are others who are a bit nutty. Overall, Its a pretty good job though..
