It's not like a bunch of us can't "take" it. I've been to Rotten.com enough to be able to take pictures. It's just that there's something different about this stuff for some people, because the pictures can signify more than just gross factor.

It seems this sort of comment only pops up when someone
makes fun of the christian majority. No one gives a damn when
anyone makes fun of, say, MY beliefs, now do they?

I see what you're saying, and I'm not going to stoop to the point of
posting humorous pictures in here, because I DO try to be respectful. But what I'm say is, the christian majority needs to learn that, so long as their ranks mock the rest of us, Jesus is not immune, and this will continue until there is a mutual agreement, and a mutual respect in this country for other people's beliefs.
Aspen's comment was exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. Look at that comment, and then look at Riot's comment. Riot had the right idea here, in terms of how you're supposed to state something anyway.

I understand and agree that Christians think they are immune, and I don't think they should be. I'm just saying, even though they often times believe they are the only religion out there, people shouldn't go out of their way to offend them. I don't like a LOT of the things the Christian church stands for, but that doesn't mean I'm going to draw a bunch of Jesus' getting decapitated.

That's fine, you don't have to. I'm not going to do it either, but I'm sure as hell not going to side with the people who think that they shouldn't do it, just because it's 'offensive' to their religion, when they don't even give a second thought about anyone elses beliefs or religious standings.
I probably come off as a cold hearted bastard, but sometimes shock treatment works wonders. Maybe if people start to realize that not everyone thinks like they do, they'll think twice about what they say.

My quick two cents if anyone minds to care or whatnot -

I can understand people finding themselves offended by some of the material in this thread; I feel kinda guilty chucklin at most of them but I honestly don't see the point in standing righteously and complaining when you were forewarned that this thread would purposely have offensive material. You have the right ( I'm not saying you don't; you have just as much right as the people posted the pictures ) but why do it when you knew what you were going to view.

This whole point of the thread was to draw out a reaction like the one it's gotten so by just ignoring it altogether would make it go away quicker.

. . . personally I find most of this shit funny so . . . wheeee.
