It's not that I solely like DDR, I love the feel of ItG and the new songs/step patterns it brings, much more challenging. I simply like to remember the good ol' days, the days when my "old timers" disease had not yet effected my playing abilities. But alas, I suppose we all have to get old some day?Ho wrote:I started gaming on an Atari 2600, but you won't see me hauling it out of the closet all that often. DDR vs. ITG vs. PUI

Don't get me wrong. I still love DDR and it holds a special place in my heart given that it has directly or indirectly affected a significant part of my life over the past five years. However, there has been nothing new in two and a half years (arcade--I'm not counting home versions because I rarely play them). As a result, I may love DDR, but I have virtually no desire to play it on any regular basis right now.XeRo wrote:It's not that I solely like DDR, I love the feel of ItG and the new songs/step patterns it brings, much more challenging. But my main point was that this whole topic is simply a matter of opinion and rather silly unless people simply want to make their preferences known.

I haven't played Pump yet, though. Yes, after years and years of DDR and ITG, I still haven't played Pump. I want to, though, I guess. Just to try it out.

I can't really judge PIU because I only played it once on vacation, but I like DDR better than ITG when it comes to 1-player. I'm just more familiar with DDR and I like most of the songs more (even though I'm crazy about ITG's Utopia and Anubis).
But for 2-player, ITG owns DDR thanks to Battle Mode.

What makes me sad about going back to play DDR after playing ITG so much is the background. The backgrounds to ITG are very mellow and not at all disturbing when you play. I've gotten so used to it that going back to the HAPPY FUN GO TIMEEE!!!!! backgrounds in DDR. Makes me want to seizure just looking at them. o_O
No more eggs!
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.
