"We don't have work for your kind. We pay you to herd the sheep and watch the dogs not stem each others roses."

That's about how I felt with the movie.
:? I'm confused does that mean you didn't like the gay cowboy buttsecks? I haven't seen it yet, but I heard it's basically a chick flick.

LMAO sam. Hey I'm gonna make a flash vid about Brokeback Mountain (if I ever get around to it). I'll try to put it up on the net somewhere and link it if I can.

I'm kinda of leary to see it, mearly because most of the "coming to terms with gayness" type movies I've seen are just really clich'ed and the actors are worse than porn stars. Of course nothing is more hysterical than to hear someone say "Fuck me.Fuck me up the ass with your hot teenage cock." in such a wooden tone.

Well that an I watch gay porn all the time, for free on the internet, why would I pay $8-$10, or around $20 if I get snacks just to see two minutes of buttsecks sandwhiched between an hour and a half of boring story?[/url]

My [gay] friend said that the movie was really good. And that he cried a whole lot. Every time he saw it.
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

They'd have to have female nudity in it if they expect any straight guys to watch it.
I've got no problem with gays or gay pride or anything, but nothing about this movie ever really compelled me to go see it. It looked like it was a movie about gay cowboys, just because being gay is a hot topic right now.

Bitch this has been the hot topic for awhile now, I'll be glad when gay movies books, sitcoms, anything will just illict the *whatever* response. Even other gay men work themselves into a tizzy about gay things, and I just feel stuff like this is no big deal. Sure maybe back in the day when I didn't let anyone know I was a mo(even though they could probably tell) it might of been something, but really when some of these fags who been out of the closet longer than I've been alive act like it's something special I just roll my eyes. It's a twinkie/fag hag movie nothing more.

I'll also be glad when gay movies/sitcoms etc get a 'whatever' response. Directors and actors will be able to use the gay theme, to actually make a quality movie. Brokeback Mountain is such a huge deal, simply because it's about gay cowboys. It doesn't have to have good acting, a good script, or anything. People will adore or despise the movie simply because it's about gays.
Perhaps in the future we'll be able to have movies that utilize a gay theme that are just that....movies, and they can be judged along with other movies by the merits that movies should be judged by. Then, if there IS a message to the movie, people may be able to see it and understand it for what it is.

The classic Romeo and Juliet love story theme is of 'star-crossed lovers' who can't be together for whatever reason. Brokeback is essentially that theme again; it's a classic tragic love story in which the characters just happen to be two men rather than a man and a woman.

It's not a bad movie at all; I do think it got hyped way too much though, and there were several other movies last year that were much better (such as Walk The Line, which would have been my vote for best picture).
