join a gym and get a personal trainer. THAT is some useful information for yourself
I'm wondering if you'll ever grow up, Casey.

I've never said that my weight wasn't my fault. Where you got that little fact is beyond me. I know that the size of my body depends on what I put past my lips, and how much I work out. I realize this. And I understand all of it.

However, getting thin so I can impress ignorant assholes like you isn't high on my priority list.

I do work out. And I try to eat right. Weight doesn't just melt away overnight. It takes time. And I'm taking that time into my own hands now.

I just think that there's something called courtesy that's absolutely lost with you. You don't even try to be kind (or hell, even tolerate) people that you don't deem "worthy." That troubles me more than your "moshmosh is fat." What bothers me is that you treat EVERYBODY that doesn't "measure up" this way.

I wonder if, eventually, something stupid you say will come back and bite you in the ass.
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

Heh, you know who I also miss that hasn't posted in like forever? Intermezzo! lol.

Ok, so I definitely don't think it's cool for people to be throwing out "fat" comments. If so, let's make them "yo mama" jokes or something. lol. *shrug* It's not like we know a whole lot about personal trainers anyways. lol.

Personally I prefer Kanye West's New Workout Plan *thumbs up* :D I highly recommend it to the ladiez :-P

Well, they're really not too sure who the father is. phpbb has been around, if you know what I mean. Around a lot.

I never left!

Well, I suppose I did, but not voluntarily. The shared line in my apartment complex got massacred by an automated download program gone awry, and apparently they weren't capable of fixing the problem without one of their tenants walking them through it. An excerpt from my conversations with them:

Me: "Your first step should probably be to shut down the ports that common filesharing applications default to."
SFE: "Our router doesn't have ports. It's a wireless router."
Me: "But... ports are internal descriptors. They have to do with--"
SFE: "Oh, internal ports. I don't think I can open this up. Does this mean we have to get a new router?"

I am now in the process of moving to a new and undisclosed location. Of course, that's not just the internet, it's the fact that it took them a week to fix my *&@$ air conditioning when I was recovering from illness (and therefore less mobile), and that they gave me ~4 hours notice to come back to the apartment and move all my valuables for the maintenance crew. (Not to mention the fact that a recluse like me should have moved to a house long ago.)

...But am I bitter? NOOOOOO, I'm not bitter! :P :?

Even so, many thanks to most all of you for your kind words. You have no idea how much respect I have for some of you, and how much your remarks thusly mean to me.

Thanks to you too, MN, for being candid and coherent about your feelings. I don't agree with your sentiments (surprise!): I don't feel the need to change my personal style because some feel it's hard to "get," and I'm not sure I could change my reaction to certain kinds of humor (arson? murder? rape?) even if I wanted to, but it's still edifying to know what's going on inside your head and why from my viewpoint you seemed to fly off the handle when I made my request.

So, yeah. "I'm not dead yet! I think I'm getting better!" It takes a *lot* more than that to faze me.

On topic: Katy, please don't feel that you're disliked or unwelcome here. I think you're just fine, and many other people do too - we can always use someone with a grasp of English and a deep enthusiasm for DDR/ITG/PIU.

In the words of the (beat) poet, "There'll always be haters, that's the way it is." Don't let them get you down. Especially don't let ratings bother you: unfortunately, the downside of the (IMO excellent) rating system we have here is that some people will give good or bad ratings just because they can. It's like the American electoral process; you have the people who vote because they have researched the candidates and feel passionately about what one plans to do for some part of government, and then you have people who vote because their parents told them to, or because one of the candidates has the same last name as them, or...

On the flip side, always take care of yourself, and never let posting on an on-line forum get in the way of your happiness/health/other things in life you choose to prioritize. (A cat's got to do what a cat's got to do.) Just realize that we'll always be interested in having you around when you're done.

BTW, I may be misinterpreting your post on the subject, but re: napalm, don't feel bad for introducing the topic - it was a joke made in good fun, it just hit a little close to home. When I mentioned that, you reacted responsibly and moved on, so NHD by you.

If you do take some time off from the forum, know that you have our well wishes. And good luck with school!

Off topic again: what on Earth is Kanye West's workout plan, and why does it sound perverse?

Heh, it is a little perverse. I just put it in there to redirect anger into humor. lol. I mean, rofl, could you imagine me using this as my workout plan? [/dignity]

I know that most people haven't missed Arka, but I have. I won't lie.

On another note, I met Pheadra at Gameworks on Saturday. I saw Casey for the first time but didn't actually meet him like I had planned. I tried to play DDR at Gameworks, but the pads are messed up *groan* Right before we went over to Gameworks, we were playing ITG, but things weren't working out over there either because you couldn't hear the music worth anything. It was at one of the Rascal's I think. I did so bad. I took screen shots, but they aren't even worth posting. lol.

Before any of that, we were in Anderson for Mike's high school reunion. lol.

Anyways, those are my updates for now!

Hey! Watchit! A pack of loudmouths does not a majority make.

But thank you, and I feel bad that I didn't make more of an effort to figure out what was going on with the 'net connection sooner.

Yay for meeting people! I'm sorry you didn't get to meet Casey - truthfully, I don't think he's *that* bad, but I can never resist the urge to meet his insults with snarkiness, so I'll probably never find out.

That song is hysterically funny, by the way. I think - *think* - it's a roast of the fit craze (not to be confused with actual desires to be physically fit, which can be perfectly reasonable), but I'm not entirely sure. It's *still* funny.

And yeah, the GameWorks pads are... interesting. I had a then-friend come out to visit me, and he went to something like 10 greats on Twilight Zone with a number of misses on MAX. (Still a heck of a lot better than I can usually do, but it was a substantial drop for him - IIRC, he'd AAAed Twilight Zone multiple times at that point, and had at least FCed MAX.) I think the sensors just aren't sensitive enough - I weigh somewhat more than he, and I had far fewer problems. So, uh, put on some weight? :P
