Yeah, I wasn't sure what mix...I just looked at DDR Freak and educated myself that Bumble Bee and Typical Tropical were both DDR songs first.

And I thought I would count them as copyrighted DDR songs cuz I didn't know how else to categorize them, lol.

Just a question, other than those two Bambee songs, are there any other ITG songs that were DDR songs first?

Well, both of those were licensed by Konami for use in DDR. Roxor just licensed them, too. So they're not really DDR songs, per se. They're not Konami originals. They were neither created by Konami nor commissioned for creation by Konami.

"Follow the Sun" was also a DDR song, right?

As for everybody's issue with DDR songs, maybe you guys are just tired of the super-happy upbeat songs.

That and, when you play them or listen to them for a long time, they really do get old. When I started playing, I dragged all the DDR music I had from my Stepmania files into my media player so I could listen to it while working on my laptop. Now, even though the list is there and all ready for me to listen to it, I just can't do it anymore. I like the songs. But it just seems like too much.
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

I dunno...maybe this is a gender bias...which definitely makes interesting conversation...but I think girls seem to be more drawn to the way a song sounds, and guys could care less about the songs, they just do it for scores. Cuz I mean, I think some of the songs appeal to the guys, but it's a weird concept....because DDR is a male dominated game, and yet, girls like to dance more than guys...however, it isn't your usual dancing. It's like four arrows, and the machine demands that you dance the way it tells you to, or you fail. So, guys are shameless to show off more so than girls.....so therefore most girls are scared off of DDR, and guys like the challenge.

Agree? Disagree?

Follow the Sun? You mean "Sunshine"? And, yeah, I'm just tired of the super-happy J-Pop songs in DDR. ITG is more...mood-encompassing, and contains many more genres (some that even I would argue do not belong in a dancing game).

And blackcat, here's what I think: many of the people who play DDR (males especially) don't really have diverse musical tastes and don't really appreciate music (that's not hard rock and/or rap). Statistics show that most people's favorite DDR songs are the hardest ones that they can do well. I'm not usually like this, and I like songs for the songs, not because of the steps. That's why whenever somebody asks me for my fav DDR/ITG songs, I make two separate lists: one for listening, and one for dancing. And yes, males are much more competitive, while most girls just do it for fun. Exceptions would be the really good girls, like hurtpiggypig.

She means "Follow the Sun". Another Dance Mania song that ITG licensed for ITG2 as "Sunshine". It was originally on DDR 3rd Mix and came back on 4th Mix with new (very, very fun, I might add) steps. I do believe that "Follow the Sun" was the Dancemania title for it, though I'd have to go check.

Bumblebee and Follow the Sun were the two songs that were licensed for both DDR and ITG. ITG also used stuff from groups commonly featured on DDR (E-Rotic, for example), but different actual songs.
A normality test:

If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Ah, so it was two different titles for the same song? I see. Because there is no song called Follow the Sun on ITG. And E-Rotic is awesome. Lol have you guys ever heard (or seen the video for XD) Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex?

I can't help but laugh everytime I do the song "Touch Me" cuz when it shows the title and then the artist right underneath that....well....I guess you can pretty much guess the rest.

Especially when you also hear the preview of the song (this is what mine does on SM, dunno if it's the same part on ITG) and it goes "I want you to touch me..."
