Actually, if it was for a college class, he might very well have. It doesn't really say what the class was about, so the teacher could have been eccentric and decided to pass him or something.

Its hard to say, because I know some kids whos parents are paying for college, so they just don't care.

There's no way an English prof graded this, though. Look at all the poor spelling and grammar errors in their corrections.

Either way, it's still pretty funny.
