Games now a days are too god damn expensive to buy, and then decide you don't like them. 60 bucks a game? Jesus! You know how much porn you can buy with 60 bucks?
60 if you want the collectors edition. 50 for the normal one, which pretty much every game costs. And it's not like it'll be bad, I don't know why people are so scared of FFXII. Probably one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
I can understand renting games, but I've never rented an RPG. I don't know, it just seems weird.

I'll probably rent it first.
From a crappy clearance bin you can pick up 12 VHS tapes or 6 DVDs 4 to 6 hours long. These are usually very old tapes with poor directing, camera angles, yadda yadda yadda. A quality porn aimed at certain fetish enthusists can go for $50-$60 for a 2 hour tape.
I usually wait a couple of years before I buy a game I want. I never pay more than $20 for a game, and that's still too much.
Well when a game gives you 80-100 hours of entertainment, it's not that big a deal to shell out 50 bucks. It's not that much money, especially when you consider how much most people have shelled out in fast food/restaurants, or how much people have dropped in arcades playing DDR.

I do!
Know why? Because my only fucking choice for an arcade within an hour drive is a nickel arcade with DDR Extreme, a brokeass Drummania 1st (pedal and left cymbal=lol). They brought over Dancemaniax 2nd from one of their other arcades, but that game is so friggin easy.
